  1. Looks like a half day of work for me then heading home for the show
  2. I personally am prepared for a rainy night, drizzle until about 4pm tomorrow, clouds clear and sun comes out, day turns beautiful and I watch some storms to my southeast. A tradition unlike any other
  3. Skilling already talking severe weather for Friday. Might be a WFH day
  4. Local paper has article on front page how spring sports in the county are off to slow starts due to cold and rain. Feel like we are due for some truly warm and sunny days
  5. Just passed thru Beecher IL, coming down off of 394 and experience some of the hardest rain I’ve ever encountered. Pea size hail covered the street and made it difficult to drive.
  6. Not the dude to answer this but growing up my neighbors were spotters and I always felt a little safer knowing my neighbors were keeping an eye on the skies with me. At the very least it makes you a good neighbor
  7. Looks and feels like spring this morning here on the south side of Chicago. Weak ass snow didn’t even put a dent in the good vibes. Spring is here
  8. Power keeps going out. Branches are hanging low. Gosh dang man
  9. Piling up fast, couple more hours of this would be fun
  10. Legit some of the biggest flakes I’ve ever seen
  11. Starting to stick to the grass. Coming down pretty good
  12. Picking up here in eastern IKK, winds are picking up and some lazy flakes getting mixed in. Miserable outside
  13. Nah. I know you’re west of me but outside has that feel. We’ll get some action today
  14. Feel like I have the greatest BOOM potential as well. Skilling is pretty bullish and that slug of moisture looks A+. Just got to get it to change over and keep pushing north
  15. Still don’t know what the expect here in IKK. Within the last couple hours LOT cut the totals back for me and WGN (my dude skillling) bumped the totals up for me. 2-12 inches I guess
  16. Been loving the energy you’re bringing to this thread
  17. Chicago crew cancelling storms that just miss them is one of my favorite parts of this sub.
  18. March 8th 1998? One of my favorite storms of all time. Went to bed with no snow, woke up with cement plastered everywhere. Was quite a sight and a lot of fun to play in
  19. Dude was catching up on this thread, saw that map, and was going to try and tag you to say “brutal.” Like ALEK says, it’s going to be a beautiful spring around here with the trees
  20. 2 days out and every map you guys post looks wildly different. From a novice observer it seems the models get worse every year. *Feels* like storms used to be nailed down much sooner even just 5 years ago
  21. Was hoping we could add on to our whopping 4 inch total for the season but looks like we may escape this winter with less than a half of foot total of snow. Spring can’t come soon enough
  22. I’m done with winter but one of my favorite snowstorms of all time went down March 8th, so I guess I’m in on this one. I’m south of Alek so should be good
