Virginia was a #1 seed in 2018 and lost their first round gameStill would like to know why San Diego St is ranked so high and they have played nothing but chump teams, they might be one of the first teams if they get a #1 bracket to get knocked off by a 16 seed..lol

I willingly admit that I know about 5.82% of all the alphabet soup of teleconnections that is discussed here, but I enjoy reading and following along, and making random comments when warranted (usually in banter/observations). Recently, @John1122 made a comment that it seems that our area was moved 150-200 miles south and now we can't get any decent weather that many of us remember from our youth. That got me to thinking, and I remembered last year that there were stories out there about the magnetic North pole shifting rapidly towards Russia. As I said, I don't know much about the daily alphabet soup menu options, but I think there is possibly some correlation to John's comment, the North pole shifting and our over-abundance of lackluster winters.

Next year has real potential, coming off a low solar year...... if I did that (moved), it would be guaranteed the mid south would get buried to their eyeballs in snow next year.
Before y’all start a go fund me to move me out just know, I can’t be bought.... lol

Look at it like this.......some of these weather models can't get much worse!!! But, in all seriousness, it COULD cause the tech guys to up their game and improve the current models. Maybe???I just read the article below on how 5G will likely interfere with weather satellites & weather models. It sounds legit, but I don't know enough about weather models or 5G technology to know if it is true or not.

For those with Tapatalk, have they worked out all their kinks? I had it for a while and loved it, but then they made changes which caused me to delete it. Just wondering what the user experience is like now?
Works pretty good for me on an iPad and droid phone. But I don’t post as much as many others on here so I can’t report from that end

Any idea where I can find gust speeds for Cherohala Skyway? We did a Jeep ride over/across it this afternoon and had some strong winds to deal with.Regarding the high wind warning across the mountains and foothills, there have been some gusty conditions so far but nothing too impressive (based on Camp Creek data). The overall atmospheric conditions aren't overly favorable for strong mountain waves yet, but that should change significantly later this afternoon and into tonight as the surface low lifts north. This will put the East TN mountains and foothills in a very favorable position relative to the LLJ location and orientation. The other atmospheric parameters look favorable as well, so there could be some very strong gusts in the usual spots.

I think this is just all a preview of what to expect for winter: GFS doing it's own thing while every other model is in step with each other..........only to have downsloping make everyone look silly once again for having the slightest amount of hope.

And the wobblesI come back to the boards and now I’m laughing my kibble and bits off at the main thread. All the friction has stopped the hurricane.

Heard on the radio that Norris had opened their gates, but had part of a dock get stuck in a spillway.
Edit: cleared and spilling from all three gates

You are correct. That whole area around Kroger and McDonald's is flooded. And the car repair place at Highland and Broadway. There's a creek that runs through there, but can't recall the name of it at the momentFrom what I can make out this firetruck is near Kroger in Ft. City.
