  1. St. Elizabeth region. My cousin has family and friends there who shared this video with me. This is what was left behind. I assure you the people there are determined, strong, resilient, and proud. Messenger_creation_215C4D57-055B-46A6-BD85-967EA32C854C.mp4
  2. I am in Tuckerton just rode with the Ocean County Sheriff's Department on a sherp. The entire Tuckerton Beach neighborhood is under water approaching major flooding stage. High tide is still 2 hours away as the winds have ramped back up. There are homes with water inside of them (ones that were not raised) and several vehicles like this one lost.
  3. I am really concerned about Monmouth / Ocean County beaches and bay flooding. We are seeing the Shark River already over one lane in Belmar (not unusual, and into Neptune Township. just wasn't expecting it this tide cycle) Barnegat Bay is already flooding areas on the eastern mainland shores.
  4. closely monitoring this weekend system. Beaches for the most part up in Northern Ocean/Monmouth survived the offshore hurricanes quite well. The spring/summer replenishment from Lavallette to Bay Head held as well. I would be concerned about unprotected beaches like Belmar/Avon/Asbury Park if this holds. Will Walt be starting a thread on this?
  5. Sitting and sweating outside in the yard under a pure blue sky. Water temps still in the 70s. Endless summer rolls on. ☀️☀️
  6. apparently the Spotted Lantern Flies have invaded the Jersey Shore today.
  7. What was nice this summer was unlike in 2024, when upwelling kept water temps in the 50s most of the summer, this year it was 70s from June through now yet.
  8. Ocean temp is still in the low 70s at the beaches. Had quite a few rescues yesterday in this area
  9. This may be the most rain in Point Pleasant Beach in 2 months.
  10. Gorgeous beautiful but breezy day at the beach currently here.
  11. got zip, zilch, nada last night, and expecting similar Saturday along the beach.
  12. I am so sorry for your loss. A brilliant mind and I always enjoyed his voice of reason in the politics sections.
  13. No, that would cause upwelling. Onshore from east, northeast, or light southeast will also sustain warmth. Strong west or strong southeast will upwell like I mentioned happened last summer.
