Yeah, looks like early next week will see an extended period of Upslope! This type of pattern is really frustrating because you get a great 1-2' event followed by an inch of rain from a lakes-cutter, followed by another 1-2' of upslope. The base never really gets a chance to grow. This is what we saw in the 2008/09 La nina when the mountains got above avg snowfall but rain events every week or two to wash away the base. Oh well. nam mos wasnt pumping out much moisture.. looks like it was pretty much right. i dont really know much about that area.. guess it's good to learn. Jebman Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 They get enough upslope snow, it may not matter how much rain falls on top of that base, if we keep getting periods of bitter cold and a lot of upslope snows.
