simple folks. coming up on wednesday, we get to blame all the busted forecasts on a groundhog in the hills of west-central PA for one day. so, will he see it, or won't he?

as for the difference between what meteorlogically would happen and what they'll do, we all know that shadows are most likely in the sun. well the verification for that will be for both Indiana PA and Dubois PA (KIDI and KDUJ): if it's BKN or OVC, odds are he shouldn't see his shadow. SCT or CLR, he should. so that's the question on this.

this will be different than what is pronounced in that we really don't know how the "Inner Circle" comes up with that.

but this is one of those "forecast for fun" that can happen every once in a while.

and as for the drinking game reference, i am sure some minds on here can come up with that. it's not like there won't be a lot of drunk students and others on the knob anyway (despite security measures). :rolleyes:

What's kinda funny about all this:

6 more weeks of winter IS an early spring in Punxy. Same here.

The damn varmint is forecasting for DCA, not his cage.
