  1. I had 0.90 in my backyard from the two cells today. I was not in the absolute jackpot for the region, but definitely did better than most.
  2. I suspect, but I can’t stay with certainty that the forecasting accuracy has gotten far worse for a place like the Lehigh Valley. I could be talking out of my rear, but I just wonder if overreliance on computer modeling eliminates the way that local human meteorologist would take into account other factors, such as local elevations, microclimates, stable airflows, etc.
  3. Definitely did not verify for the Lehigh Valley.
  4. 0.71” here in sw Lehigh County. Looks like the Lehigh Valley this far is on the lower end regionally while Philly, northern Poconos and Reading all got significantly more. There are a few spots in the poconos that may have gotten several inches per radar estimates.
  5. Well, the afternoon forecast bombed here. Nothing to speak of in the southeastern quadrant of the state.
  6. If it was an nfl Sunday with the eagles playing, the power would already be restored.
  7. I welcome a flooding rainfall event. Maybe not 5” but would like to see 3” this week.We need it in so many ways.
  8. Not as crazy as last night but a bit more rain at a little over 1/2”.
  9. Pretty amazing storm earlier this evening up here in terms of wind. It’s shocking that it lowered the temperatures down to the lower 70s.
  10. I received less than a 10th of an inch. If you look at the precip accumulation map, there is a narrow strip of very little rain along south mountain from Easton all the way to Fleetwood in Berks County.
  11. Unbelievable to be getting 7-10 split again here in the southern Lehigh Valley.
  12. I watered the garden on Sunday just in case we get another 7-10 split!
  13. It was highly detrimental to not get anything from today. My conversation was with a government friend who is a friend of somebody in the authority. They’re very worried.
  14. Word on the street is that the local water Authority is privately very worried about the groundwater situation. Drought guy may want to look into it (seriously.)
  15. Looking at the precip map, the Philly region south of Lansdale down to Wilmington DE did exceptionally well. The southern Poconos also did very well too. The Lehigh Valley and the far northern bucks and Montgomery counties did poorly.
  16. I was not so lucky - 0.24”. More to the north and south of us. Needed 2.24”! .
  17. Yep it is very dry. Hopefully the tstorms on Thursday and Friday overperform and then we may be in a wetter pattern the following week.
  18. I received 0.44“ from the line. Not enough, but certainly better than nothing.
  19. There’s a liquid of some sort coming out of the sky in heavy quantities. I haven’t seen it in a long time. I think it’s called rain. .
  20. Recovered last night, up to 1.22” since yesterday morning. Low level precip this am as it is raining steadily (light to occasional moderate)without radar representation .
  21. The event thus far is largely a miss for the Lehigh Valley. No drought relief.
  22. We are in a weird precip hole lately. I am only now at this moment hitting 1” for the month. Hopefully we see more action later today.
  23. Nice! Got 1/2” here in my gauge as I did well after I posted my message. . Waiting for it to stop to take the dog on a walk.
  24. I would say likely not based on nowcasting. Up here in the SW Lehigh Valley I have received around 0.10 this far and the back edge is swinging through central PA. Forecast was around 0.75”.
  25. I am curious to see if we will actually receive the rain forecasted for Saturday with that very cold Easterly flow.
