  1. You should do well, radar looks good for NJ, back edge getting close here.
  2. Just to be clear, a snow lamp is any light (fixed or mobile) that is bright enough and/or focused enough to allow the discerning (weenie) eye to spot a single small snowflake in the wee hours of the morning. Similarly, this light allows the trained eye to observe snow beginning to mix in with rain at night. Also works for seeing how hard it is snowing if it's not yet moderate to heavy. I also would guess that most everyone in here has some version of a snow lamp. Wow it went down 2 degrees while I was typing that. 44F here now.
  3. So far here, 7 degrees in 3 hours, or 53 to 46. Wonder if it will be consistent enough to get it to 39 a little after 11 pm. If so, I'll get the snow lamp out around 11:30 and have a look around (that is, if I'm awake, lol). It's been pretty windy here for the last 2 hours also!
  4. Getting light rain and snow mixed here, 38F.
  5. A little light snow here too, even have a coating on the cars! 35F.
  6. SPC Mesoanalyais actually shows it centered over the Chesapeake Bay currently. Still a chance for a little snow through the evening I suppose. Been getting a few small flakes here off and on for the last hour or two. Congrats to you and everyone up that way!
  7. Been consistently on the fringe here for this one according to models. Still a good way to start December...
  8. I'm a member as well. Made it to 22F here earlier, currently 23F. Brrrr!
  9. Probably lower than the odds of back to back winters of azz...pepperidge farm remembers.
  10. Just had a flurry in Glen Mills, lol. First flakes!!!
  11. Way to use your weather knowledge/awareness, lol. Comes in handy sometimes... Eta - get any Reese's?
  12. Just got power back here, yay! Running water is awesome! So will the heating system be tonight (the boiler and all).
  13. Glen Mills is my post office, but down here we just heard the storm chugging by, probably a couple of minutes before touch down. Pretty awesome sounding, and unusual, especially on Halloween and at 11:30 pm. I'll admit I was on the edge of my seat on the porch, lol. Glad that (apparently) no one was hurt.
  14. Had to turn on the little generator here, takes care of the fridge at least. Still no word on when we might get power back, looking at the outage map there's a bunch (600 plus outages, 129k customers [for PECO]).
  15. Still no power here (1.5 hours now) and no update on restoration time.
  16. Yeah that was about 5 miles north of here reading the warning.
  17. That was pretty impressive - could hear the wind roaring (SSW to NNE) as the line slowly approached from the west...had to be gusts over 50 going by the sound and tree motion. Lots of flashes but I think most of them were transformers blowing. Power has been off and on a few times here...currently off.
