  1. And Phillies in the World Series for icing on the cake.
  2. Thanks! Wooohooo! P.S. Everyone's down at City Hall celebrating. I think I saw Birds~69 climbing a light pole.
  3. You should be good through Wednesday. Shorter days make it tough... Good luck!
  4. Yeah, not how we normally get that amount of rain. We have a well, and we had also seeded some areas recently, so having most of it soak in was ideal!
  5. Not west of Philly at any rate. Sunday was the heaviest rain, about 2.5 inches here, but mostly there wasn't a whole lot of runoff, a very user friendly 4.75" total here over 6 days.
  6. Event total here was 4.75", not a whole lot of runoff, so most of it went in the ground. Good stuff. Looking forward to sunshine tomorrow!
  7. They had a list of record low maxes for the area in Mt. Holly's forecast discussion yesterday and again today. Yesterday was 52 at PHL and today is 55. Decent chance it seems of breaking today's record, not sure how yesterday turned out.
  8. Up to 4.55" here for the event, about a half an inch since midnight. Just looked at the 12z GFS run, and after tomorrow it's pretty much dry to the end of its run (Oct. 20th). FWIW of course, and likely to change. It will be nice to dry out, and especially to see the sun. I have vague memories of it, lol.
  9. Still raining a bit, up to 2.45" for today, 3.50" for the event. Radar reminded me of the dryslot from Jan. 2016.
  10. Just crossed the 2 inch mark here, 1.05" Friday night and Saturday morning, and 1.03" today, making a 2.08" total so far. Coming down at a decent clip, 1/4" in the last half hour.
  11. Ian the Overperformer... I'm not usually a fan of days of rain and gloom, but rain hasn't been that easy to come by, so I'm seeing it as a good thing. Also looking forward to seeing the sun again, maybe Wednesday?
  12. Started raining here about 7:30, down here under the tent with a kettle fire, lol.
  13. Better than steamy windows for sure, lol. Although the humidifiers will need to be pressed into service sometime in the next couple of months.
  14. The outflow from Ian made for a nice sunset here:
  15. Yeah I've seen a lot of clover the last couple of years, but I'm still going for grass, lol.
  16. Oh well, lol. I was spraying some liquid fertilizer on an area I had reseeded last week with a venturi siphon apparatus I made up, it looks like I'm watering with a hose. So I had one area I wanted to finish before the rain so the rain could wash it in, and it's out by the street. Of course the rain came in just a little faster than I expected, and I'm out there apparently watering the lawn in the rain as cars are going by, lol. Got about 0.20", in a lull maybe now.
  17. Got a nice pic of this hawk this morning, he was about 15 feet off the ground. I started taking a video and he decided to take off, and swooped down over me, so close that I felt the breeze from his wings, lol.
  18. Just about perfect weather for (grass) seeding!
  19. With the additional light rain yesterday, wound up with 1.90" of rain for the event, also the total for September so far. Enjoying the lower temps and the forecast for the next week as well.
  20. Yeah I'm thinking that's rain, not sure how it shows up as snow, maybe an algorithm that says "4 inches? Must be snow!" Although I'm not up there, so who knows. 1.51" here so far, lots of it probably soaked in, much appreciated.
  21. Picked up 0.44" from that pencil thin line last evening, making the August total 3.28". Much nicer outside today!
  22. Just picked up 0.08" from a nice shower, with a rainbow at the end. Total including last night is 0.83", with 2.84" for the month.
  23. Letting up now, 0.70" from that batch. Nice!
  24. Yeah, getting moderate to heavy rain here now, with some occasional cloud lightning. Got 0.25" so far, and it sounds and smells great!
