    UK actually looked a lot like the GFS, too. Just need the Euro to jump on board.

    GFS was amazing. Just goes to show we never know until til we get to at least 5 days out. I think this could be a case of the GFS showing this storm in the long range, losing it, and then coming back again once we get inside 5 days. Would love to see the Euro jump on board. Still cautious since this would be the GFS leading the way instead of the Euro.

    Looks like the HRRR has rain ending as some snow in central NC for Thursday.

    Euro has a monster winter storm for NC two weeks out.

    RAP had a little something less than 48 hours out.

    GFS is clueless outside 7 days. Then it waits for what the Euro shows and steps in line with it like the Euro is its daddy.

    I would definitely believe the Euro if it has something pop up inside 7 days over any other model. I am to the point now where I think it's useless to really look at anything else besides what the Euro shows inside 7 days. Everything else is a mirage when it comes to winter storms here, especially the GFS at day 10. It loves to show big storms then only for them to go poof a day or two later.

    Feels like NC is the same as SC now and all the systems go north to VA.

    GFS is a complete miss with the Friday system this run.

    Maybe we'll have it go our way this time. Just haven't been that lucky the last few years.

    A lot to ask thr Euro to trend to the GFS. Usually it's the other way around when we actually get snow.

    Well, the GFS is showing a snow threat here next Friday, but it's been looking less and less impressive the last couple of runs. Also had another system for the 19th that was snow and is now rain. Euro has just been showing rain for both systems. Hard to get on board the hype train without the Euro showing snow and the GFS being less impressive with each run.

    Not sure what to expect here. Euro doesn't show much but has been trending better. GFS and the short range models have been looking great the last two days, but then the last NAM run did a complete 180. Could be anything from a dusting to 2 inches here.

    Hoping Imelda stays away from NC and doesn't bring all her shoes with her. Gen X joke.

    Had a good one come through. Pouring rain and lots of thunder and lightning. Had one strike very close, sounded like a bomb.
