    NAM looked warmer. Wake started as snow and then the snow line moved west to Durham.

    Watching to see if the GFS holds its ground and if the Euro starts the NW trend today. With the similar type of storm last January the Euro started trending NW 3 days out towards the GFS, so that would be today if this one follows suit.

    Another day of model watching. The short range models look pretty good. The GFS is starting to go back and forth, and the Euro is being stubborn. Looks like a classic winter storm threat for NC with not knowing exactly what will happen until it does or doesn't happen.

    I keep going back to last year's Jan 21-22 storm. I know we have been burned by the GFS before. But this one really reminds me of that storm. The GFS trended more NW while the Euro held out and then the Euro finally jumped on board with the GFS three days out. I think we'll see the Euro do the same by tomorrow.

    RGEM looked good for Wake and points west in NC.

    NAM is coming in further west.

    Feel like this is evolving just like the storm in January of last year. Tomorrow the Euro will probably be in step with the GFS.

    Really reminds me of that storm last Jan 21-22 when the Euro finally shifted the precip NW in line with the GFS.

    I remember the models were pretty back and forth with solutions up until 24 hours out. The Euro was also the last to jump on board with the threat 3 days out.

    Euro just needs to be amped a little more. Hope we will see it come in with more juice the next couple of days.

    Still plenty of time.for the Euro to jump on board. I wouldn't fret until Friday. There will probably be many different solutions on the models between now and then.
