HRRR has a strip of rain from the GA coast up into eastern VA.

Yeah, I was hoping Sunday's deal was going to be like the storm last year around this time, where the GFS had a storm and the Euro had the precip too far off the coast. The Euro finally moved NW three days out and we ended up having a pretty good one. But the Euro never budged this time. Hopefully, since it has a storm at the end of the month along with the GFS this time it will pan out. Of course we could see one or both lose it the next week and then bring it back again a few days beforehand.

It doesn't matter when the storm thread is started. It has no control over what happens, and folks are going to be disappointed if a storm falls apart no matter if it's 7 days or 3 days out.

Not sure, but I do like that the Euro is showing it, too, and not just the GFS. Makes me think it might actually have legs.

GFS has it a little later on the 28th and 29th.

Euro has it, too, for the 26th and 27th. Looks like a classic NC winter storm with snow in the northern part of the state and ice in the southern and eastern part.

Euro doesn't even have much rain.
