Dude I’m in Westminster and is raining here again with a little snow mixed in while area just north are snowing.

Ah radar went to crap up here. Finally after it started ripping snow briefly it all dried up. Typical Westminster dry zone. 

About to get rated up here in Westminster. 34 snowing decently but think in about 30 mins it might be dumping.

You all remember last winter, I think it was near the end of winter, there was a strong cold front moving through and all the models were calling for anafrontal snow? It went from a prediction of nothing to several inches even in the metros shortly before the event, and we ended up getting nothing.

Is there something about this setup that’s different? Growing up in this area, I know how difficult it is for us to get anafrontal snow, and I’m trying not to get my hopes up.

There was another similar notable storm in April of 2000.  Same setup, wave developed long a strong cold front after a lot of rain.  I think that one dropped 2-3" in this area...was like 6-12" up in northeast PA up through NY State.  

I remember a lot of systems like this when I was a kid and in school. We’d get early dismissal cause we went in and it was raining but midday it was pounding snow. 

Gfs definitely looking more and more better too.
