  1. Today looks like the last decent day for awhile. Staring tomorrow the Sun returns and it gets hot. Just over an inch for this most-recent event. Misty, 49F.
  2. Heard a crack of thunder around midnight, .50" in the bucket for the event. 62F
  3. Gotta say, the earthquake and chinooks were way better than the eclipse.
  4. Yeah, 3:23 was it. Goes to show how little sunlight is needed for day ight. Welp...unless I make travel plans, this is the last solar eclipse I'll experience in my life.
  5. Thickest cloud cover of the day But dark and I can feel the temp drop.
  6. I used to have a solar filter for my 8” dob but have no idea where it is. Hoping the glasses I picked up are the real deal!
  7. Thanks for the reminder. I guess our epic, historic, snowy, nino winter helped me get over the Phils.
  8. Flyers giving the Eagles a run for the most epic collapse down the stretch by a Philly sports team. (Thank God I wasn’t around in 1964.)
  9. I recall someone mentioning military exercises in the area this weekend. Chinooks have been flying overhead all day, I mistake them for aftershocks. 52F, breezy but hot in the car.
  10. One of my co-workers asked about that. I told them to hang some garlic around the house to be safe.
  11. I'm about 25 miles NW of Philly, felt it pretty good here.
  12. Allow me to beat Chuck to the punch...mid-Atlantic seismic activity in the spring correlates to a +++AO/NAO combo the following winter.
  13. I’d like to see a MECS again before I depart this Earth.
  14. Looks like 4" on the nose for the event. Could tack on another tenth or so as the upper low moves through, 42F.
  15. Lost power for a few minutes after hearing loud pops. Hearing sirens now. Also have a large limb down in the yard.
  16. Up to 3.10" for the event as it continue to pour. Standing water in backyard is now underwater. Winds picking up too -- it is trash night after all.
  17. Thought I may have heard a distant rumble of thunder early in the am, but I was half asleep so maybe it was just a truck. 2.75" event total so far, yard under water. 43F
  18. Pouring with temps in the mid 40's, feels like January out there. Approaching .60" since midnight, 45F.
