Playing acushnet River valley on Friday. 40 with a cart for 18

What are some good drives for folks here distance wise? I connected on a few good ones the other night that dribbled past 275... probably like 285-290.

My drives are getting better... I’m usually making solid contact... but some of them tail off so bad to the right. A few at the range the other night swung literally left to right across the entire range. (I’m right handed)

I’m not very good, but we at least keep it moving. There really isn’t an excuse even if your bad. We got stuck a few groups behind a group of four guys with carts who were the slowest golfers I’ve ever seen at olde Scotland last Saturday. Took us over 5 hours to play the round. It got so backed up on the par 5 18 there were 3 groups playing the hole at a time.

Does poqouy have gps carts? I’ve heard rumors they do.

Played hillside country club in Rehoboth yesterday morning. 18 with a cart was $20! With a hot deal on golf now. Course was in pretty good shape

You can see the darker patches in the lawn... I think I went a little light on the Milorganite. I have a quarter acre lot and only used one bag... I probably should have used 2 maybe even 3

So this is when we bought the house last March... just the house... the entire yard was sand rocks and overgrown weeds. Processed asphalt temporary walkway. This is a picture today. Done this basically by myself in the last year and 3 months. Lawn still isn’t there, (area by the road is a mess from salt and what not) but I’m happy with what I’ve done on a limited budged and time.

Weed and feed doing it’s thing for all the haters that said I put fertilizer down to late . Clover is dying and better grass is filling in

Scott’s weed and feed I put down over the weekend doing it’s thing, clover is already wilting.

Anyone have any suggestions for life insurance for my wife and I? We’d like to have a joint policy. I never had really even thought of it until a friend of mine mentioned him and his wife just got a policy, seems like a good idea. Would it be better to buy a joint policy or two individual?

Played 9 at Pine oaks in Easton. Shot a 43.... improving yet again.

Very well manicured for sure. The only downside which you mention is it’s kind of a small course and you are right on top of other holes at times. Kind of opens up a bit on the back 9 though.

PPO insurance costs went way up to we are switching to HMO. I can’t find his anywhere, so anyone know the answer.... do my wife and I have to have the same PCP?

Played again at stone e Lea today. Lowest score yet. 100 even. Missed a par put on 18 to get under triple digits lol

Just got our open enrollment package for health insurance (assuming I still have a job come July 1), and the cost per pay period for a PPO is increasing $60 per pay period ( bi weekly), don’t think I can afford that increase at this point, so we are looking into the HMO. My wife and I both see a few specialists. Will we only need a one time referral? Or a referral for every subsequent referral? Also, in the experience of those with an HMO, how easy is the referral process? For example will you be required to go physically see the doc? thanks
