  1. The Australia stuff is really bizarre. They truly are going for zeros across the board there. And as soon as they open anything or to anyone; they’ll get some cases, so I guess they’ll shut it down again. I guess they can puff out their chest and say look at how low our covid cases are! As people are locked in hotel rooms and their homes.
  2. Right…. Is not a great example, but the numbers are what they are, even with it being contagious. Mass dropped the mask mandate, what, 2+ weeks ago now? And there hasn’t been one hint of an increase
  3. If any of those countries want any tourist economy stuff to come back, it better be quick.
  4. Yeah… I mean, at some point, you have to live with this in the background, like the hundreds of other diseases. A lot of people die from cancer and heart attacks everyday too, and I know it’s not an apples to apples comparison, but you could play this game literally to the end of time pretty much.
  5. Looks like a very went 2-3 hours incoming
  6. We’d be in pretty rough shape without that deluge on Memorial Day weeken. Dry before, and dry after
  7. We’ll, she gone in Massachusetts anyway. Sucks to be those folks across the pond I guess
  8. Pouring… looks like a few hours now and then again later evening?
  9. Looks mostly dry here tomorrow. stein
  10. Nationwide shortage of strawberry acai refreshers at Starbucks apparently. Showed up mildly hungover this morning for my usual Saturday drink; only to be told they don’t have it and probably won’t for a week or two. Devastating news for me and all the moms in Yukon XL’s
  11. My buddies were questioning how bad it actually hurt when I said I was in excruciating pain. I said, get back to me when you have, you’ll feel differently . It hurt so bad at points I would have rather have been shot in the knee cap
  12. It’s pretty much as healed as it’s going to get until the nail grows back. There is just an open area where the nail was so I obviously have to be diligent about keeping it clean and what not.
  13. Had dinner at baldies in lakeville tonight… absolute packed house; no masks in sight. Awesome
  14. Do we even get measurable tonight and tomorrow? Most models are pretty dry
  15. Can they? Mom and Pa with their 5 kids survived on Pa working at the local plumbing supply yard 40-50 years ago. The days of a large family being able to survive off of one spouse working a blue collar job are long gone. My mom is 1 of 4 and her father was a truck driver. Her mother never worked, and the family lived relatively comfortable. Do you know a lot of truck drivers supporting a large family as the sole provider these days? I don’t.
  16. I’m sure it’s a combination of things. But I know, if they wanted too, they could offer more than 1.3%… which I consider insulting, since the union voted to forgo a raise last year given the uncertainty with the pandemic. The thanks that they are giving us trying to stuff it up our behind again, of course. I don’t disagree margins are probably tighter, but there is a difference between not being able to give a raise, vs not wanting to give one, and hiding behind the circumstances of the last year and a half to justify that position. As far as being replaced, if they let everyone walk here, they’d have to hire outside contractors to do the work of 70+ employees, and that’s going to cost a hell of a lot more than giving who you have a decent raise. My last place of employment during negotiations got quotes on what it would cost to farm all the work out, and that discussion lasted about a week, because it was about double what you were currently paying your help.
  17. And the offer from my employer for a raise this year was 1.3%. A 1.3% cost of living raise, and we haven’t had a raise of any kind in 2 years now
  18. It was potted when it arrived. This is the one I ordered from fast growing trees. I planted it in late July early august last year. I mean, it looks pretty good... the tree is “full” I just can’t make out any new growth.. I’ll take a full pic tomorrow. I’m surprised because the cherry trees and pine tree I have, have put out very obvious new growth, especially in the last couple weeks.
  19. Thanks.... you wouldn’t happen to know when the peak growth is for them would you? Like I said, I can’t see any growth really.
  20. Any idea when the primary growth period is for the tree? Now or later in the summer?
  21. Any idea what these spots are on my autumn blaze red maple I planted last year? Also, any reason why I can’t notice any new growth? Is the same size as when I got it last year. It looks fairly healthy though
  22. I have seen nothing to indicate efficacy in the “real world” isn’t somewhere near where it was in the trials. It’s not like we went from 95% to 40%. A shave of a percentage or two was kind of expected; and many expressed that. Wherever that information is coming from smells like an anti vax stance to me. Questioning the efficacy as a way to cast doubt on the shot
