Says the guy who’s hammered at 6pm on a Wednesday trying to sell people on the 18z rgem being better than 12z despite being presented directly with evidence of the contrary -
I’m not sure I’d call a small improvement in the gefs that have looked atrocious for several runs a victory. I guess we are really stuffing that gunshot wound from 18z with as much quick clot gauze as possible

It’s about a 75 mile shift east… mega band that was over se Mass is now over the outer cape

It’s absolutely east at 78. No doubt about it

This is also why tracking these threats for 2 weeks is ultimately a losing game. Its totally conceivable at this lead that models bail on the threat, and it’s really not even bad model performance

I’m a little shook, not going to lie. A clear east trend on all 18z guidance so far, what new data could they have?

I’d say you can probably confidently smash that panic button if the gfs etc jump east like the NAM and Icon did

I’m not saying it’s definitely right, but as the first piece of guidance at 18z, a huge jump east is definitely noteworthy, especially if other models follow (looks like the icon may be doing so)

No sugar coating that run. Nothing redeeming about that. Hopefully that’s not something be ingested into the 18z models we’re going to see larger changes in other models
