  1. I probably wouldn’t go anywhere near most ice right now.
  2. Lol I know, I’m just busting back. My main concern is my wife. If she has a bad experience, she’ll never ski again in her life lolo
  3. I’m glad everyone has endless money that they can piss away on ski trips and mediocre conditions. I wasn’t trying to be an ass, it’s a legitimate concern, when you’re spending $400 or more to ski for two days, plus a condo, food, etc, you’d like it to be decent. My wife also got hurt skiing the first time she went, and it’s taken almost a decade to get her to try it again, so I’d prefer it wasn’t a disaster
  4. It looks like several more rainers between now and the 19th. im sure they’ll make some snow and do the best they can, but I’m not overly keen on spending 100$ to ski on icy ribbons of snow, with no natural. it was kind of something we decided on when we booked. If there isn’t going to be half decent natural conditions, we out. That’s a lot of money to waste skiing, over multiple days.
  5. Looks like 4 rain events in the next 14 days or so up in NNE. Just waiting on confirmation from the other people coming with us; but we are most likely canceling our trip. Cant believe the weather is going to force us to cancel a ski trip in mid-late Jan. You hate to see it
  6. How did North Conway area make out with this cutter? Looks like at least one more Rainer on the way; maybe even two in the next 10-14 days or so. If the conditions are crap by the second weekend of Jan we are just going to cancel the trip. Im not paying $100 a day to ski on a frozen ribbon of snow.
  7. If we get through second week of Jan without anything on the horizon, rat talk will begin
  8. I’ve never seen a single person ground a generator, never even heard of it. Id need dynamite and an excavator to get an 8’ rod into the ground in my yard.
  9. Isn’t nearly 30 years a good sample size though? Going further back is getting into like different generations. At least personally, im not sure how useful factoring data from 30+ years ago is in getting a current representative average.
  10. Yeah… I’d say bob is like 5” or so less. People don’t realize how huge Taunton is. I’m in the furthest NE corner of Taunton and northern most part of Raynham. im literally closer to Foxboro and parts of Sharon than I am to bob
  11. I’d say it’s mid 40s here. I’m like 1-2 miles from easton at my location
  12. 2021-22. 54.6” 2020-21. 50.0 2019-20. 28.2 2018-2019. 38.25 2017-18. 77.2 2016-17. 67.1 2015-16. 47.25 7 year average … 51.8
  13. The CT power grid is made up of toothpicks and silly string, so yeah, no surprise if they get some outages
  14. Magical thinking continue I see. A minuscule improvement every other run isn’t going to get this anywhere near New England.
  15. This thread is dead unless you believe the icon. CMc and GFS both look worse
