Different. I don't work for Joe Biden (or whomever it is whispering in his ear telling him what to say).

That guy does have a bug in the ear.

    "Dont talk Joe"

    "Just smile Joe"

    "Say this and that Joe"

If one part is false does it negate his whole premise.

That means the vaccine appears to prevent people from getting sick enough that they develop symptoms

No but you cam still spread it if vaccinated. Unfortunate but it dont bother me.

You don't want to kill anyone do you?. I mean I thought if I got the vaccine I wouldn't expose anyone else who was immunocompromised. 74% of 900 were vaccinated, imagine how many times they might have encountered people with comorbitities.

No one wants to kill anyone.

People with comorbidities need to worry about protecting themselves. It was told way back that people who received the vaccine could still spread the virus. I feel like the media kept that locked away because its not good vaccine press.

VT’s Governor spoke yesterday that seemed pretty firm on not returning to any restrictions unless deaths start to skyrocket.

“Despite an increase in COVID-19 infection rates nationally and in Vermont, Gov. Phil Scott and some of his key cabinet members remained upbeat during a weekly press briefing on Tuesday, saying they don’t anticipate a return of state restrictions.

There’s not a reason for us to take an alarmist kind of stance and make any major changes,” Scott said. “I went to a number of parades this year, and there were a lot of people there as well … We’re almost back to normal.”

Nearly all of the infections nationally and in Vermont are striking unvaccinated people, officials said. However, the state has no plans to require vaccinations of state workers, and some other states have done, Scott said.”

Sounds like someone with a level head.

Any theories on why the US has suffered the most (in terms of deaths). Maybe the data is false (we overreported and others underreported)?  Our lifestyles (travel etc).

Probably cause we are one of the most unhealthy nations in the world. Eating right starts at home as well. School system trying to push healthy stuff for kids and government taking away soft drinks dont help much

How do you parse the vaccinated from unvaccinated?   Personally I'd rather force those unvaccinated to wear them and us vaccinated folks not have to but we apparently can't have nice things in this Country, so the CDC changes guidance that States may follow to re-enact mask mandates.

Ya cause they dont trust the unvaxx to do the right thing.

The lawsuits in a few years will be comical. I took my vaccine because i wanted to.

If some other entity tried to make me take it, I only would if they signed a peice of paper saying they liable for any known reactions to vaccine.

If they dont i would probably look for employment elsewhere. Maybe start my own business with other antivaxx. No one forces me to do anything.

P-town board of selectmen just voted to put on a mask mandate. Fook.  Cambridge won’t be too far behind I’m afraid. I’ll be back in a damn mask at work inside a week. :(

Baker won’t have the sack to say no. He’ll roll over and let them do it.

Are they masking up over the cases or deaths? If its over cases they might as well never drop the mandate cause it never gonna go away.

The US is using different, generally better vaccines though.

The numbers are what they are though. They can’t be explained away.

The UK is using the same vaccines. They have Pfizer, Moderna and J&J. I think the Oxford-AstraZeneca is the only one US dont use I think.

If I ever find the guy who ate that bat and started this I’m going to give him a very strongly worded letter

More like the scientist that screwed up or lab worker who sold test animals to wet market down the street.

The latter has already happened at the lab. Worker trying to get sone extra cash.

    Be more brainwashed.

Anti vaxxers are so tough. Taking a vaccine to protect yourself is somehow 'north korea'. News flash, they don't have a vaccine because it's a third world country.

People are a special kind of stupid in 2021. If it was 2001, everyone would get the vaccine. But thanks to fox News and Facebook somehow a life saving vaccine is communism.

    Demented.

Even if your vaccinated you can still catch and spread the virus. It seems like the vaccine only lowers the mortality rate. Look at the numbers in the UK. They use the same vaccines as US.

Thats insane. Delta spreads 50-60% easier than the 1st strain but is only .20% deadly. About the same as the flu.

The orginal strain had a 1.9% death rate.

    Numbers dont lie UMB WX.

Well, that is a complicated question.   I was, for quite a while, generally only responsible for making sure stores bought the beer and it got to where it needed to go.  So, sales and distribution manger. Then when the lock downs came and we lost staff, including our head brewer, I got physically involved in the brewing process. Hard work and not glamorous but it's a hands on product so ultimately satisfying.  Being north of 50 lets just say my body and I are glad we are back to where we have been able to hire new assistant brewer.  Lol

A small craft brewery is not just making beer but doing all of the packaging, keg washing / filling and delivering.  So, there are lots of side jobs in the brewing process. Brew days are complicated with many steps.  I would be happy to go through it all in detail in a later post but I will be making a video in a few weeks so that will be on youtube.

The short answer to your question is that working in the right brewery can be really fun, even if the pay scale isn't great.  I won't lie, sometimes you are literally getting paid and encouraged by the boss to drink fresh delicious beer.  Quality control is essential.  ;  )

Thats sounds cool. Post up the video when its done. Would love to see it.

Oh yeah, last winter we had some kid working at the brewery, he was actually a great worker, call in one day and said he tested positive.  Never heard from him again but I know he’s OK because I’ve seen him around town.

I always thought it would be cool to work at one. Whats it like? Just making beer?

I may have to eat my words, but I don’t see it. There’s no state of emergency. Even the Cambridge city manager said they would be hard pressed to keep a mask order in place once Baker lifted the mandate back in May and let the state of emergency expire June 15.
California’s state of emergency is still in effect, so cities can impose restrictions if they like. New York’s emergency order is expired too. About all they can do is “recommend”,

The DESE has been pretty clear. No masks in the fall.
All the saber rattling by the APS and others is an attempt to cajole people to get vaxed and vax the kids. In other words, get vaxed or we’ll mask you up and lock you down again.  Trouble is they can’t do it. Only the politicians can. And they don’t have the stomach to do it, with a few exceptions.

Sick of this mask bs. Vaccines been out now. Get it or dont. Lets move on.

It makes me wish i never got the vaccine. And if there is a booster they can keep it.

Oh for sure, it’s largely symbolic.  It’s meant to deter but there’s no ID check so it’s like asking only unvaccinated people to wear masks inside .

Symbolic is about it. Its not like the ticket scanners are given a lineup of banned people to study haha

I still dont know what this "banned" fan looks like.
