a tiny bit of common sense would give clues where infections were going when they removed some cautions.. naturally infections were going to rise to some degree and we crossed our fingers.

Ya pretty sure the NIH CDC and WHO knew it was airborne weeks after first lockdowns in China. If not we have some pretty bad people running the show. Plus terrible intelligence community.

the point of the vaccine is to minimize severe cases and/or death, not to stop transmission. and the reason that the delta variant has spread is that people won't get vaccinated and won't wear a stupid mask for a short period of time.

Its to much for certain governors in this country. Politicians wont care the death rate is around seasonal flu.
Restrictions will still be in place because of cases and occasional death. The scare of mutations alone is enough for mask mandates.

That would be wildly effective at preventing cases, so I would say we should expect more than 14 cases even in booster scenarios based on what we know about the efficacy of these shots.
Ya it works but not good enough to keep people from dying. Even with everyone vaxxed there will still be enough cases to overwhelm the system.... Will then we shut it down is the question or keep chugging along.
