  1. Still looks to be a nice hit for a lot of folks incoming.
  2. This has a chance to drop a decent thump of snow for the familiar late season folks N & W. Would be a nice way to go out after a hard fought winter for scraps in our region. Can the Euro score a coup on this last event of the winter?
  3. Liberty - Raven Rock,PA (XIF) ASOS reports gust of 61 knots (70.2 mph) from NW @ 0101Z -- KXIF 080158Z AUTO 27013G21KT 10SM FEW033 12/04 A2967 RMK AO2 PK WND 31061/01 SLP049 T01220043 $
  4. Serious gusts here right now. @Eskimo Joe can you check on RavenRock obs? Just had a house shaker here.
  5. It’s a sure sign of some soft closings when you’re at 50% of average climo and all the snow days are gone.
  6. Not too much being said because the N/W folks are a small percentage of the sub, but look out for this event. Could sneak up on those that haven't been watching the models. Cold press looks solid based on obs thus far.
  7. I'm really starting to think this one might do a little something around the LSV. I'd say surprise us...but the models as you've mentioned have been painting a pretty icy/sleety future for several days. They've trended colder as of late if anything. If we get the heavier depictions of precip that some models (Euro ie) have shown, look out.
  8. Agreed, because temps behind the front (up in C&W PA) look cooler post-frontal passage than the NAM had for 21z.
  9. Euro definitely an eye brow raiser considering what the Canadian suite showed as well.
  10. Could be a fun afternoon if that batch of squalls in W PA holds together.
  11. That station is right across Jacks Mountain/16 from me. I can verify synoptic wind to the likes I’ve never seen before. Even here we’ve gusted 60-70 multiple times.
  12. I almost moved over that way, was looking at a house on Weatherstone Dr in Waynesboro/Rouzerville...settled on Carroll Valley.
  13. Visibility dropped to 500ft in that band up here in Carroll valley. Didn’t snow long but didn’t need to
  14. 3k NAM is solid tonight for us LSV folks, 2” over my yard
  15. Well well, if only that 2" bullseye literally over my yard were to come true. Some enhancement off south mountain for the LSV.
  16. 3k says the local bullseye is my backyard. Doubt that one will verify but I guess there's only one way to find out.
  17. Agreed. I’d argue the CMC has actually performed very well as of late. Never really bought into the ice storm either.
  18. It was funny that people were giving the GFS king status so often, when in reality it was just the euro being non-king like altering their perception.
  19. Yup, that was obvious aloft after h36. Starting to think who does have precip fire over them will get some heavy rates. Good forcing/fronto showing up. Will it be NW like GGEM/RGEM/HRRR or SE like this NAM run or the GFS.
  20. Vigorous jet @ 250 over our region at h42 which should really help get precip firing off on the NAM.
