The Euro looks frigid. I'm guessing it's a decent thump and not much of a flip inland

Always gotta beware storms that originate from the South. They always seem to come in warmer as we get closer.
It's possible any positive trends cease at 18z and we go the wrong way here on out. It wouldn't surprise me..but so far it seems like a moderate front thump is becoming more likely
-
It has been trending colder and less amped for a couple days now. So unless some are just referring to the seasonal trend..this storm has not been trending warmer.

My 2009 is still going. It’s about 800 miles away from 200k.
Mine made it to about 245k. You should be able get a few more years out of it

Speaking of vehicles, I just got a new Ranger and the damn thing beeps the horn twice when you exit the truck, close the door and leave it running. Ford thinks I need a reminder as well as my sleeping wife that while I've forgotten something and need to get out of truck, that the truck is still running. No shit! Will be programming that off with forscan.
I miss my 2004 Ranger.. RIP 2020.
That was a great truck

The 18th has been trending less amped the past few GFS FV3 runs. Maybe the thump will be decent on this if we can continue that trend

Mostly sleet here..but a solid coating of it so far

No one is getting snow tonight . Brutal east west cut off look on radar near NYC
I'm probably getting snow. Maybe an inch

Yeah like I said . 1-2" then close the shades for a while. Pretty cut and dry
-
May 1-2" here tonight or overnight, then closing the shades
-
I'll take a cold dry pattern over this. All set. Enjoy though if it's your thing

Time to check out..has trended messy and boring atm for my area
The 18th looks interesting if it trends a bit south.

Block aside, not sure the PAC looks great then. I'm not thinking we get thru this month without a few messier systems

Don't like GFS. Turns south coast to ice after thump. Then rain and potential flooding on the system a few days later?
That is 168hrs away. Looks like the block up near Greenland is building again..so I'm not sold on pure rain on that one. But even so, pattern looks good after

I'm just amazed how it seems very few do a thorough budget. I included things like oh shit money and some play money too. When you do that, that home in Weston turns into a home in Weymouth. LOL.
Spreadsheets. Not sure how anyone could budget without one tbh, or something comparable

The only reason we could afford a house in the mid 550s..was the equity I had on my last house for a down payment. Got the mortgage down to 415k with a 2.875. so it was manageable and we were able to pay off some new loans.
In summary, buying a foreclosed home with potential in 2012 really paid off.

That's a SWFE.
Yeah..I extrapolated it incorrectly. Did end up making the transfer from lakes low

GFS says weak sauce 14th and inland runner on 17th. F
-
GFS a bit better
-
This is the type of system where the old old GFS would show precip to the NH border. I believe that was a known bug that was corrected..but I'm sure at the time it falsely erected many unassuming weenies over the years.

Nomans land 1-2", we can always adjust higher if needed

RGEM now gets some light snow into far southern zones tomorrow

Seems like it's evolving into a weak coastal vs classic swfe. I wonder if that inhibits the upside of any front end dumpage. Still I'd take this over the alternative
