Yeah wtf is going on there? Vaccinated people have gotten covid and apparently 3 died?
Surprising - were they fully vaccinated? I suppose it would be silly to think it would be 100% effective over millions in sample size. Could be additional factors that we don't know about as well.

Regarding people who had had covid getting vaccinated-it is increasingly clear that doing that confers “super immunity” based an ab tests. Also, there is anecdotal evidence that long haulers that are with difficult symptoms get relief from vaccination. Time will tell
We hope.
My wife has had neurological issues (brain fog/buzzing, tingling/shaking, sleep issues, abnormal eeg) since last March. So far, dose 1 hasn't helped but maybe she'll get some improvement after the 2nd.

But the dude in Southie says it's all good - no societal ramifications whatsoever!

I work for a med software company, so tele-work kinda makes sense anyway. They are only asking us to come in a handful of times a month during the Summer, and are leaving which days flexible. Starting in September, it will be expected that we will be in the office more frequently, but that hasn't been determined yet. I highly doubt it will be anything close to Pre-Covid though.

I would guess the shootings are sort of a manifestation of many things. Including a rise in mental health problems. I just can't imagine why someone would kill a innocent child. Sad indeed.
The final victim should have been the only victim. An asshole with severe mental problems (CTE), nothing else.

I mean lolololol . Come on man. Young people and Covid vs young people and unknowns from a vaccine?
Long term effects from a mild case of covid are pretty high actually. somewhere around the 15% range.
Just get the shot. They would not be distributing this on the mass scale if they were anywhere close to worried about the vaccines' long term effects.

I'll take rain. Just not a cesspool wheel-o -reah that ruins an entire week. Fortunately, we may escape that

Stein ran the 12z Icon out of his basement, with the dehumidifier on full blast.

2019's classroom...
"Today's classroom" is kids sitting 3-6 feet apart, all facing forward, masks on, and watching a zoom lesson on a laptop run by the teacher who is at home. There may also be plastic barriers between each desk.
My wife is a teacher and she has been physically at the school since last September. Has there really been situations where kids are at the school and the teachers aren't?

The only instructions after my first Pfizer shot was to drink a ton of water for the first 2-3 days

Saturday does look great. Maybe we can stein next week a bit too. Still far enough out to make some improvements

Its looking like between 10-15% of those with Covid, including mild cases, seem to have lingering or even long term effects. Probably best to just get the shot.

Wonder if it was the 9th, after the 3rd of the many big storms that Jan-Feb. (Especially as there was no 29th in Feb 2015. )
Hah yeah they prob just guessed once it was developed. I could also see it being just after Feb 15th..another big storm around then

Which is why that saying "imagine if this was snow" when we are getting 7" of liquid in Spring on a southerly flow never quite holds up. It would never happen like that with a cold profile or setup.

Gonna pay for great weather immensely
Pucker up you city slickers..the backwoods is coming for you soon.

Snowing lightly now.

Nice. 18z definitely more robust across the board.

The HRRR actually looks decent down here, invigorating a 2nd pulse that clips SE areas when it's cold enough. Maybe and inch or 2 if that panned out
3K NAM agrees - maybe a couple inches

Anyone remember that storm (or non storm) around this time about 4 years ago? Models had some areas in ENE getting a foot about 2 days out..then it just evaporated from modeling. Getting those kinda vibes..obviously not as drastic as that though.

With that said, the latest developments haven't really changed my expectations. If anything, I have a better chance of scoring an inch.

Yeah, across extremely large sample sizes..it would almost be shocking if there weren't a handful.
