  1. Sick! Can't wait to get up there in a few weeks.
  2. We faired pretty well in my neighborhood. A few blocked streets and snapped maples and pines, but nothing on houses that I saw. Power is still on. Unfortunately, it looks like my uncle is going to spend the night at an elementary school with 20 kids and their after-school teachers, as their route out is impossibly blocked by fallen trees and crews won't be able to get in to them until tomorrow.
  3. @Dendrite, my neighbors just lost half of a huge maple onto their chicken coop.
  4. I believe it. My uncle says he drove right into it. He's taking shelter at a school with some other stranded drivers. Really shaken up.
  5. My uncle is apparently stuck on the road in Oxford with trees and lines down in front and behind him. Possible tornado went right over him. Will have to wait for a crew to clear the road.
  6. First time I've ever seen real green-age! That was an amazing shelf cloud as that tornado went by up through Cheshire. Great wind on the back end and nickel to dime sized hail! EML delivers!
  7. Holy crap. I go out for 20 minutes, come back and there is a massive storm heading my way. WTF.
  8. Look at that line consolidating across NY. Nasty.
  9. You're in the bear cage dude! Watch for that Finger of God!
  10. That line out in eastern PA is starting to get that bowing look to it. Might go to town soon.
  11. Velocities picking up in NW CT.
  12. Just classic supercell heading towards NW CT. If it's not putting one down, not that far off.
  13. Spiking 75 dbz on some of those! Big hail for sure!
  14. That storm SW of Hunter is getting its business together.
  15. Per Earthlight, LRs in NJ are over 8C/km now. That's impressive.
  16. Starting to get some initiation in upstate NY.
  17. You should be fine there. Storms definitely possible, but much lower tornado threat.
  18. To quote Lillo, "When was the last time there was a sixty percent wind prob without hatching?" Probably because it would qualify for a high risk designation?
  19. Sky has that funny slightly darker blue hue to it today, like someone mixed a dash of payne's grey in it. Reminds me a lot of the look on June 1, 2011 to be honest.
  20. So hypothetical: we have 60% wind in the outlook. A 60% wind with sig severe could qualify for high risk per SPC criteria. Is this a possibility if a massive MCS fires up later?
  21. That Hartford sounding would justify the increased tornado threat IMO.
  22. Let's hope this produces. My best thunderstorm in years came with that March paste job. I deserve better.
