  1. Bring it. If I'm going to have bare ground, give me some nice warm temps on the nape.
  2. I really can't believe we're actually behind last winter heading into mid January.
  3. Getting flashbacks to last winter, when 1/20 was supposed to be the turning point as well. We'll see.
  4. And that is what makes this hobby so damn frustrating sometimes lol. Always a turd in a punchbowl somewhere.
  5. Yeah, the bar has been set pretty low so far. Hoping we can sneak an inch.
  6. Same. Actually feels like winter for a few hours.
  7. I'm starting to wonder if I can fall short of last winter through month end. On its face it would seem a near impossible task, and yet this month feels like it wants to find a way.
  8. Who needs the GFS for that? I can just look out the window.

  10. Born in '84. The only snow memory I have from that decade was a Thanksgiving dump...thinking '88 or '89? That and the Hamden tornado are the only weather memories I have from those formative years. Vague memories of Dec '91 and then March '93 was the first time my weather memory became crystal clear.
  11. 2011-12 was at least mercifully obliging in that regard. 70s and low 80s in early March, replete with budding trees and girls in sun dresses on the Common, really did much to dispel the macabre sensibility of that winter.
  12. Oh right. Forgot we're still a ways out here.
  13. That would double my season to date. It is exciting.
  14. Pity we don't have a solid high to work with. I'd sleep a lot easier.
  15. I'd probably chase for something like that. Hurricane force wind, insane rates, etc. It had a sting jet, didn't it?
  16. Hey, I doubled from 0.4" to 0.8". That's yuge!
  17. It is what it is. I average <30" down here, so most seasons blow. We tend not to get lucky breaks in a mediocre pattern, and certainly not in a hostile one. Them's the breaks on the southern coast.
