euro showing some snow for Monday morning, very similar to CMC.

What’s the 12z euro showing for the weekend
-
0z GFS doesn't want to end winter just yet.

What does the 12z euro show for the Wednesday storm?
-
GFS looking better for Wednesday storm. Real chance of measurable snow. It's not much but considering how bad this winter has been I'll take it.

Schools Nassau county closed as well. In the morning I was questioning why they closed schools but now I admit I was wrong. This is dangerous driving.
-
Freezing rain mixed with sleet here
-
North Nassau: Sleet. roads are really bad already. Afternoon commute will be hell. Be careful driving.

No met but it has potential. Although this model burps a lot.

12z GFS might be on to something here for the weekend. It has time to improve. Upper levels look good.

How reliable is the NAM 3k? Shoes less precipitation than 12k

NAM would be a Winter Storm Watch scenario for the metro area

About .75 QPF of sleet/snow before changeover. Commute will be hell.

Know it’s a long way off but what’s the timing with this one? Just want to keep a close eye as I have an afternoon flight on Saturday.
It might affect your flight. So keep an eye on it. Models are showing a Saturday event for now.

For the last three runs the GFS has been hitting at a coastal transfer for next week event. That system will only enter the US continent on Wednesday. A lot will change by then. Also the euro did a huge jump SE.
-
What is the timeframe of this event? What time does it start and changeover to rain? I just want enough snow/sleet in the morning that my company will advise us to work from home....so I can't do a single thing.

GFS long range still keeping my hopes up

Another cutter next week on GFS

Euro snowfall map?

Lake cutter on GFS. A strong low pressure over the midwest though. Is that common?

Para has a widespread blizzard here with 2-3 feet of snow from Virginia to Boston!
2-3 feet? please stop. it doesn't show that and it's most likely wrong.

These must be the worst model runs I've seen in any winter. GFS is cold followed by rain all the way into June. I'm ready for spring.

These squalls can be as dangerous as a Blizzard but somehow doesn't get much alert/attention from media or public services.
