    I hope you'll turn on the TV and see the entire DMV with cars in ditches, airports closed, streets looking like a war torn third world nation, recitals and schools canceled, snowplows getting stuck as the area is getting destroyed with 2-3" per hour snow bands with lightning and thunder as temps are 12 degrees. and then it happens again 2 days later right before you come back.

    Well, I thought he wasn't reading the model correctly first. Then he came back with 0.3 inches as "Dry" and I realized he's just being dumb and/or rage baiting.

    It really is such a weird situation we're in. Especially this close in. I mean, there are usually some model differences, but this scattershot is wild. Models running the gamut, from damn near nothing, to warning criteria, to a rainstorm all the way up to Mitch and co. within 48 hours of a storm. Crazy times.

    GFS for Storm 3, gets a little coastal going off of NC, but it's too far off the coast and moving wide right.

    GFS is a mess out west. Looks nothing like 6z for Storm 3 potential. I hate the gfs (only after hour 72. Before that it's a good model)

    GFS going the wrong way for storm 2. ETA: Well, it still misses...but I don't know if it's truly the wrong way. Orientation of precip was just different.
