    With deep snow pack, I would be skeptical if temps get that high at the surface. It's quite possible, but I doubt it. If it does? It will be very brief.

    Warm up and rain is fine. You only get ice damning when temps are below freezing, and either sun or heat loss from your house melts snow on your roof and then freezes over your eves. Ice and snow shield under your shingles is very important to prevent water entering house. Minimum 3 feet up from gutters towards ridge. I have 6 feet.
