That's one thing about the awful 80s, seems we had a few good March storms thrown in.

Definitely worse north. I think DC is still above or close to average for this date!
I only grade on snowfall.
My grade factors in snowfall, temps, snowpack retention, the number of storms, and the overall feel and look of winter...

Even if it ended today, for myself personally, I have reached 50% of average annual snowfall at 15.5.
I went in honestly thinking 97/98 was possible, so from an expectations perspective I am ok.
Well here in NE Mass I am sitting at less than 50 percent of normal snowfall to go along with well above normal temps...grade F- winter....

Models failed big time with the prolonged cold and snowy pattern like the weeklies were showing and many were latching on to the huge blocking pattern.
At least I got 12 inches out of this pattern but it could have been longer.
I tried telling you to not buy into that so called pattern change...oh well ...

Rural CT only snowstorms are the worst. All the villageidiots posting snow pics like their backyard is happening everywhere.
Pretty sure there's a local brainworm problem in "drive thru" country of New England.
..almost up to 1/2 inch in Methuen!!!

Meanwhile here in the Winter Wonderland known as Methuen(sort of rhymes with methane)...schools are closed because of a cloudy sky. .
Don't worry folks, Methuenite Nation is a hardy bunch, somehow we will we survive this latest onslaught of winter 23-24..
