  1. We are just squeezing every last snowflake out of this system. Up to 4” and still coming down. Will probably finish in the next hour. Not even going to bother with the shovel. Will probably be gone mostly by tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Started as snow and stuck to everything right away here in Auburn Hills. Have about 1/3”. We had mostly covered grass from yesterday. .
  3. Same! But i know that this will not be straight 10:1 snow. Maybe 5:1? Sucks but hopefully it will be something before the bitter cold. .
  4. It is sooooo tempting!!!! Unfortunately we have obligations that keep us home this weekend. Heading up next weekend! .
  5. Post pics! Our cabin is in Lewiston and I am watching through our surveillance cameras. Hope our power and internet hold up! .
  6. Finished with 10” in Auburn Hills. Lost power and internet. We also lost two trees. Not going to lie, kind of done with this winter. Beautiful but destructive is how I would describe it. .
  7. Oh no! Hope they get it back sooner than ours with the ice storm! 6 days! On another note it is pouring snow with lightning and Thunder. Best snow in years! .
  8. Still no power from Wednesday! Today looks identical…. Really hoping for snow on Friday. I can’t do this ice thing anymore! .
  9. In Auburn Hills we had a quarter inch. Didn’t really accrete until around 4pm then it just froze up on everything. No power and they are saying Sunday before restoration. Thankful for the generator! We always lose power so…. Plenty of gas was purchased before the event! .
  10. Last major in Oakland County was Apr 2003. Missed out on Christmas 2013. Mostly lapeer. Totally not stressing on this one! .

  12. Yes! I was out and roads are slushy but the salt has kept the roads warm and it hits and melts. The sub roads are getting pretty tricky. It is very beautiful out.
  13. [emoji2320] There is me! Northern burbs! Splitting the difference between DTW and Flint. .
  14. Honestly, I do not like this year. I have seen all the outlooks and those analog years do NOT match up with this year overall. 2000-01 was wet and cold all year. Same with 76-77. Drought begets drought. I hate going into winter in a drought. Look at this system today. Just completely moisture starved as it headed for us. I know it wasn’t supposed to be much but it literally fizzled on arrival. Hope I am wrong! Good luck to you in Canton! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Where are you now, Rogue? I am still in Auburn Hills. 1-75 and M59. I like my spot north of 59. I usually see about 10” of bonus snow over DTW. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Soooo disappointing for sure! More rain than snow, then low ratio cement snow then dry air! The trifecta! I am near 75 and 59. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I agree with the first sentence and strongly disagree with the next. I have spent a lot of time in India. We have close family friends in Southern India and my husband has a team that he manages in northern India. Reports from both of those have said the situation is incredibly dire and there are dead bodies on the streets in India. They can not cremate fast enough. They do not have the infrastructure to handle a pandemic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. LOL? My first run in with an antivax person was a very liberal Democrat. A lot of Hollywood run in the antivax circle as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Weather was a super big deal to a mostly agrarian society! I think that is why we have some of the details that we do. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. We were notified of exposure one day after the vaccine...not enough time for full protection. Thankfully, all is well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Things are not so good in The Mitten.... I am currently in Northern MI and there is a serious lack of masking up here. We got thevaccine (JnJ) 13 days ago and we decided to quarantine at our place up north. I needed to run a couple errands before we head back home tomorrow. Guess I am not surprised by the increase based on the little care that I did see today. 22. I am on the fence with this a bit. I do have some family and friends that have had Covid (back in December) and are now testing with strong antibodies (verified by Quest.) I feel like they can be included at least for 6 months without needing vaccine. Most of them are ok with getting a vaccine eventually but are purposefully waiting so others that are more vulnerable can get it. If a booster becomes available for variants they are more likely to get in that line. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. This is a problem. That is the city of Detroit inside of Wayne county. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I was just there this past weekend and in my 400 miles of travel around Dallas, I would say that number falls around 15-20%. I will say this...my winter skin was kissed by the Texan sun in as little as 15 minutes. I was wearing some sunscreen. So the minute the virus laden spittle leaves the mouth it is DOA outside. I also have to wonder if vitamin D levels are on the rise now. Pools are open and most people are eating outside. It is the nicest time of year there at the moment. Here in Michigan our bodies have the lowest level of vitamin D right now coming off of winter. Disclaimer: I am not pushing Vitamin D as a cure. It is more a measure of a more robust immune system.
