The lack of rainfall events and the sporadic nature of showers and thunderstorms when they occurred led to widely variable rainfall totals for the month. As shown in Table 2, even though Raleigh was very wet with 7.53 inches for the month (most of that falling from the October 9 event), monthly totals were 2.80 inches at Greensboro (0.30 inches below normal) and only 1.21 inches at Fayetteville (2.02 inches below normal).

Doesn’t look to be getting better in long range

Yep thats for sure. Greg Fishel posted today about the next 30 days and how it looks to be above normal temps through the end of December. Now will it stay dry or not is the question

We were a little bit of a warm outlier for the area with a low of 31.5 but it was our first freeze of the year

Nothing like that first freeze to take care of the things outside.  Yeah Im little further out and in a "valley" terrain so it can drop here compared to RDU which is 2 miles away

I was wrong about the evening storms, they did hold together well through the Triangle. It was rocking and rolling here for a minute. Finished to 1.32” for the day

It was just a heavy rainfall and some lightning to your west. Glad you got in on some of the fun too.

We finished up the day with 1.27"

    MTD: 5.56"

Maybe a little more rain Thurs/Fri
