Hrmm...
Quiet for a few days then suddenly three lemons, that being one of them. NHC as of 0800 this morning:
2. Shower activity associated with a tropical wave located about 1000 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands has become a little better organized this morning. Environmental conditions are expected to be marginally conducive for development of this system during the next few days while it moves westward at 10 to 15 mph over the tropical Atlantic. By Friday and over the weekend, conditions are forecast to become less favorable for tropical cyclone formation. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

On the coast right now, rain all day. Watching rain bands approach Morehead City. I'm gonna say about .75" of rain so far for the day. Anyone else see that little spin on the radar just south of Cape Lookout?

Local friends are saying Hwy 53 is closed - may have hit SW High School.

I'm seeing rain in Cary - my heart wants to say there's an odd white streak or two when i look in to the woods, if it's anything it's slushflake. Showing 39F on the Davis, ~430' elevation.

Wake Co is now under the TS Warning.
Got the alert on my phone from the FEMA app - highly recommended for those who don't have it. You can set alerts for certain types and for multiple locations, great if you have family or friends far away you're concerned about.

65 in Cary at this hour and the AC is off - made a bet with the wife if it shows 59 on our Davis station tomorrow morning I'm buying breakfast.
64 at 0700 - no breakfast this morning :( - slight chance tomorrow, clearer skies and drier air may help.

Can anyone pinpoint roads off 95 that are flooded - I was thinking 95 to 40 to Clinton back to 95 around Lumberton -- once past Lumberton should be good to charleston
