    central park 10.6 inches of snow as of 7:00pm nam was wrong in predicting lower snow totals..

    first time hearing sleet in upper manhattan now it will be like walking on ice for those who venture to go out when this is all said and done.

    a snow and sleet storm will be worse for people in cars and walking then snow alone..

    trends can easily change 24 hours before a event we seen that happen many times in the past..

    depends on what you mean by nyc are you only counting central park or the bronx for snow totals..

    a few weeks back all the doom about january was overblown.

    many years ago in nyc like 15 at least we had a 12 hour sleet storm in nyc temps in low 20's and nothing but sleet covered the sidewalks and streets and everything was covered in ice and very slippery..

    lets see what the nam says about mixing issues only model i trust when it comes to that..

    you do not want any significant sleet on top of a snow pack and cold temps that will take longer for the snow to eventually melt.in the cold that follows.

    for such little snow their is a ridiculous amount of salt on the sidewalks and the street every time a big truck goes on by a mist of salt follows..

    accuweather keeps saying nothing will accumulate in the city lol

    weird snowman has a snow name but hates snow.or any positive talk about snow the irony..

    even a broken clock is correct 2 times a day..

    one of these years we will get another east coast snowstorm..
