    a few flurries here in manhattan.. of all the cold mornings we had of late this will be the worst one due to the wind..

    amazing how the anti snow folks come back and post once any immediate snow threat is gone.

    remember that clipper storm more then a decade ago that dove all the way to south carolina then rapidly intensified to a blizzard and produced close to 40 inches on eastern long island nyc only got about 10 inches we need that kind of clipper..

    since it appears it wont be that close nothing to be upset about time to move on to the next storm..

    ever since the 2010 after christmas blizzard i learned nothing is set in stone this far out as that storm was modeled to be a miss for nyc..

    last storm was way out to see for nyc until it was not..

    ny nj pa weather on youtube showing the storm as hitting on saturday afternoon into sunday if it does hit us this one could be a actual blizzard.

    this could be one of are best winter sin a very long time..

    accuweather was wrong for days they predicted 4 to 8 for the city and said if the sleet is delayed we could get a foot for the city.. the sleet was not delayed any nyc reached over a foot..

    washington heights had 13 inches of snow from this storm ny city overachieved..

    central park 10.6 inches of snow as of 7:00pm nam was wrong in predicting lower snow totals..

    first time hearing sleet in upper manhattan now it will be like walking on ice for those who venture to go out when this is all said and done.

    probably have to go back to the 96 blizzard since we had snow in these cold temps in the city..

    snow and sleet will stick around for awhile with high temps next week in the 20's and lows in the low teens at night.

    a snow and sleet storm will be worse for people in cars and walking then snow alone..

    trends can easily change 24 hours before a event we seen that happen many times in the past..

    how does this storm plow into a huge cold high and cause mixing like it ain't nothing something does not add up?

    depends on what you mean by nyc are you only counting central park or the bronx for snow totals..

    a few weeks back all the doom about january was overblown.

    19 years already man the time has flown on by..

    many years ago in nyc like 15 at least we had a 12 hour sleet storm in nyc temps in low 20's and nothing but sleet covered the sidewalks and streets and everything was covered in ice and very slippery..

    lets see what the nam says about mixing issues only model i trust when it comes to that..
