Yeah-I got multiple texts from my Chicago family asking how much snow. I just curtly replied the amount. My wife broke her right arm slipping on the ice 2/7. Pretty disabling and she can’t drive-today is a f/u appointment-cast comes off in 2 weeks and then removable splint for 6 more-even she commented on the lack of snow in the lowlands. She also told me that in her opinion this snow won’t amount to much. I hate when she’s right!
I had to drive my wife this morning for an appointment at the Brigham and it really is night and day from my neighborhood to yours. As soon as we got to Jamaica Pond it barely looked like it snowed. That band between 11 and midnight and a bit beyond was more intense than anything I’ve seen this season. In Brookline Village walking around the old neighborhood and snow cover is minimal. By the time we get back home probably around 11AM it probably will be heading that way but that 200 feet elevation made a huge difference yesterday albeit for a disappointing and worthless event for 128 on east.
I got caught walking in it. Heaviest snow I’ve seen since the Jan 2022 blizzard. Pushed me up to 2.4 and it’s not over but that will have to be my final.
White rain now with increasing but still pedestrian rates. We’re in between 2 big bands-just beyond reach of the one to my south but as I write perhaps rates are showing a trend to increase.
My friend reports all snow on Corey Hill, Brookline just above Coolidge Corner. That's about 3 miles north of me so I figure to complete the transition within a few minjutes and as I type more and more snow is what's falling vs rain.
Just got up to heavy rain. Lunch with a friend at noon but I’m waiting till 11 to see if it’s still on. Last night had me flipping around 1 but seeing kdxken’s post suggests it may be within the hour…
I didn't pay attention to 12Z-was in a meeting and forgot about it. But once the nipple resolves the low goes east of the cape and loops back to a position a little closer but just off PVD before moving out.
Well the only exception is if I see it snowing when I pee around 8am all bets are off and we're going big. I don't expect that and guidance doesn't show it.
