BOS through yesterday is +6.3 for July with a mean of 79.6. We’ll knock that back some after today’s cheap midnight high but then ramp it back up weekend on through the end of the month. What’s the record for July?

Both of those activities is what I would relish! In my younger days I’d winter camp in some brutal conditions. Not now-too soft I guess. I decided I’ve slept on the ground enough.

I’m pretty sure I’ve told this story before. Leaving LA for good took me through Needles. I had to make it to the south rim of the Grand Canyon that day and I was getting tired. It was about 3PM and about 117F. I passed a Macdonalds and ordered a hot coffee....and stood outside in the sun drinking it to see what it was like. Verdict: awesome!

Lol. It would have to be a lot cooler for a sweater. Maybe acclamation to the heat the past few days is causing this cooler feeling. It feels fine and certainly not worthy of sweater or jacket yet.

NAM has bigger numbers west of BOS vs the airport..which doesn’t make sense with a 280 wind which is hot as hell.

98 is not ordinary for KBOS at least historically. I remember long stretches when 93-94 would be hottest of the year. Only 2001 on has it seemingly been so much hotter.
