  1. The day we sell is the day we either come into a windfall well above now or the day we leave the region. The biggest “problem “ is we really like this home and environment around it.
  2. Maybe the bylaws themselves are an impediment to progress. New England is unique that way.
  3. People have been meeting or exceeding those bids for homes imby for over 5 years. Heck, we made 100k the day we moved in and we’re up many times that now. In the end, the biggest 3 things are location location location.
  4. Reminder....it started 5 days ago.
  5. Tattoo is dead. Is snow far behind?
  6. The long game is the only reliable way you can do this. Selling at the bottom is nuts and timing the market is a fools errand. I actually won the only time I timed the market. In March 2009 I moved my entire 401K into equities. It worked out but I’m not sure I’d do it again. During a difficult time in my life circa 1991 I had to tap into a 403b account. The end balance was meager but now nearly 30 years later including RMDs which subtracted from value it is worth 10x that amount. It’s a near forgotten account that I don’t even consider in my assets in my head but it’s worth enough $$ to keep us going probably for a year. Patience.
  7. Happy Birthday Brian! Hope it’s a fun day day despite the crappy wx.
  8. Nice rainy night. Time to contemplate sleep....
  9. Exactly! I prefer a relatively small plant based dinner. Then a glass of wine if I’m inclined and a nice walk late night.
  10. If you’re eating at 9 and bed at 10 I’d agree. But most have a solid 4+ hours after the last bite. In fact, my dinners tend to be late and small so I can exercise with a walk at some point just before midnight. Then my wife and I hang out for a few hours and we bed sometime after 2 most nights. Sleep deprivation is a known driver of obesity so doing dinner too late and not getting enough sleep is bad for multiple reasons. But we all choose our schedule that works best for each of us. Spaniards have dinner very late and are a lot thinner vs Americans.
  11. If you’re not working from home 5:30 is impossible for most people.
  12. Well when your workday ends at 7.... I’m the poster boy for odd hours. Out of bed 11-11:30, breakfast at Noon, lunch around 5pm, dinner between 9-10, bed between 2-3 but sometimes later.
  13. True. But who eats at 5:30? Even when I worked full time I didn’t have dinner before 7:30-8.
  14. Are you sure you’re not 82 years old?
  15. Btw it’s a nice day today-60s and sunny
  16. Yeah pollen has been killing my eyes. You’d think I’d have a stash of stuff but NOOOOO! Gotta make a cvs run.
  17. Man that sounds enticing! I’ll probably do it or kick myself daily whenever I use the old one. Thanks!
  18. You’ll win in between rain so what? We’re far from heat and dews and that’s what we both want.
  19. After hitting 80, BDL turned dank and wet. GWDLT.
  20. What’s the price ballpark? I’ve been wanting to upgrade for the past 6 months. Although the battery isn’t much of an issue but if I had multiple meetings back to back without the ability to plug on it may work.
  21. Nice day and the cloud debris is helpful for those of us trying to avoid bad effects of the sun. Before us summer lovers start extolling the greatness know it’s in the 80s in Chicago and that will miss us.
  22. Davios was hot 30 years ago. They’ve tried to revive it but it’s day has passed.
  23. Not investing in tech is one thing but if you can explain a tangible product that serves as a financial system that is expected to not be controlled by world governments good luck.
  24. Tuesday looks like crap but I kind of agree that the week probably won’t be terrible
