  1. Down to 34.5 at 8 pm a 5 degree drop from 6pm. Snowpack and frigid nights effect
  2. High of 45 but ice still not ready to be shoveled up. Very little melting shaded area. Temp fallen very quickly from 45 at 2:50 to 39 at 5:20
  3. 22 for a low but rising temps after 3am. It’s odd that I’m 39 now and cloudy And no wet spots. Night after night of terns and singles must have the surface really cold
  4. High of 38 Currently 31
  5. 37.1 at 3pm and that’s probably the high. Has DCORF hit 45 yet?
  6. 14 here for avlow. The joke about +8 to its close by surroundings and Annap. Potomac frozen and Bay down to about Annap. Does not remedy the error. Norfolk closest match at 26 for a liw at 26 with DCA 22 and all else around DC area 12-16
  7. Bay frozen to just north of the bridge and Potomac approaching the mouth of Bay is also
  8. I was surprised that around Baltimore way less snow than here . Pictures sent me from Chesapeake beach looked like 6” . i was clear and down to 27.5 and now mostly clouds and 28.7
  9. Was surprised that I fell quickly to 32 by 5:45 and 30 by 6:15 Currently at 28.8
  10. Wow. Annapolis peaked at 35. DCA 41.. Kinda puts a crimp in the around water folly .Found another at 38 but most 36/37.
  11. High of 36 for me. Most of afternoon 34/35
  12. Big difference today for highs between those who still have mostly snow cover and those mostly bare .
  13. Low of 13 Trying to recover but snowpack is tough here and up to 26.5
  14. 11pm and 23F. Full shade is still 3” hard pack now. Full sun has few bare spots and rest 1-3”
  15. We ice skated and sledded many times every year, it was rare when we could not
  16. It has many stations within 10 miles of it that do not support your assessment. DCA is not over by the Williard which is all buildings all close together, streets, no green space DCA has a tree lined parkway running next to it and water surrounding most sides of it. Annapolis is further east at same c elevation and close to a much bigger body of water yet is generally 3+ degrees colder it should actually be warmer but DCA us flawed, . Camp Springs/Andrews further east and developed and always colder. DCA does ok when winds mix things up and homogenize. When its clear and calm , DCA has impediments to radiation to such an extreme that something artificial is prohibitory
  17. Back then this is the way it was for about 12 of the 15 winters between 1957 to 1972
  18. 27.6 at 4pm after a high of 28.2 in Kemp Mill and 25 in Frederick Let the plunging begin
  19. Down to 27.8 after peaking at 28.2 and maximum in the direct sun just 33.3 so very little melting and little oomph to the sun
  20. Just hit 28 and I think that’s it
  21. I’m not worried. I put out the Mongolian Mania in late December and it provided. There’s still nothing up there to mess us up. Is isn’t as pronounced as before , just very good instead of exceptional . Any winter will have a week of 40’s .
  22. There are too many depressos who feel others should feel it
