few flakes falling up here now. probably more exciting at the ridge tops, but flaking nonetheless.

i used to get like that growing up...pissed off if it didn't snow or there was a bust, but there are some annoyances to constant cold and too much snow. i know that's an unpopular opinion here, but i like shooting hoops and biking...can't do that when it's too cold or when there's 1-2 feet of snow. i would try to find reasons why you wouldn't want it to snow and/or just consider moving to a place that does. we're not a great snow town. i don't care what anyone says on that. our averages are skewed by the blizzards we get by having the gulf and atlantic to tap into, but our average high in january is low 40s, not low 30s. it also helps to chase. i got skunked from the first storm that hit dc so i drove down to bethesda and got my quick fix. another thing that helps is redirecting your energy from a near miss storm towards trying to understand why it happened.

I still want to try Weller. I don’t even know where to find one. Prob would need to visit Buffalo trace distillery, which is on my list of to do’s.

Buffalo trace products are legit. Blantons was much easier to find in Moco up until last year. That said, I think eh Taylor might actually be my favorite.

That and woodford (my first non-jack whisky) were the first I would have just on the rocks without a mixer. Since then it’s all neat, but chilled via whisky balls/stones.

Speaking of which, I might have to try a cherry coke and whisky. Never really even thought to do that. I’ll usually just make it with cut limes and maraschino cherries.

probably been mentioned, but i just noticed the precip differences along the coast with the gfs/nam3k/12k are much greater than i expected (mostly been eyeing hampton roads). tough forecast along the coast. 3k has practically nothing in se va whereas 12k/gfs has 0.5"+ precip.

i don't hate the 18z gfs so far. still a fish storm, but looks like a slight bump in precip.

i replaced soda with iced tea a while back, but it's coke...it's really not even close. however, the worst is when a place doesn't have the proper fountain drink carbonation/syrup mix. re the coke/pepsi difference..pepsi is slightly sweeter/flatter imo.

i'm guessing a hold or slightly west, but i could see the precip increasing a bit with the prefrontal stuff.

so is it gonna snow in frederick or not? i moved up here for a reason...and it wasn't just to escape moco home prices.

i'll accept a clean overrunning event instead of a wound up fish storm, and not all that far out into the long range.

i never even thought to do that lol. i usually take them with me while biking and have one midway. i have some halo's in my fridge...might have to try this.

yea, i could see that. i don't have any issues with juice or when it's cooked, just raw.

a sleeper pick for fruit are seedless mandarins. pretty clutch while hiking or anything outdoors.

now we're taking things a little too far lol, though i must say i have tried it and it was acceptable.

yea, i get the seasonal pollen allergy (april to june mostly) which i think must be somewhat intertwined into the skin of fruits thing, though as i get older i noticed my allergies are not as severe (unless i'm biking through weeds which will definitely require me to pop an allegra after).
