Hoping it's a soaking, just saw that wildfire near Greenwood Lake along the Appalachian Trail...again.

Yeah was just talking to a friend, theyve been up there all day. This should be enough to at least let them wrap up for the night.

Top 10 warmest start to March across the region. Most spots are running +4 to +7. It’s just goes to show when we get a few months a little colder than average that the rebound warmer has been more impressive during recent years.

    FWN..+6.7°

    EWR…+5.8°

    NYC….+4.1°

You mean this morning? I think whoever said that probably meant the city anyway. I got down to 34, currently still there. Even rural northern Nassau is 33. Too much wind for full cooldown in the farmland down here.

Metro != city. Ill keep fighting it, dont care. Lol

@BxEnginedon't judge, It had been a while since I had this delicious brew but that streak has ended as I'm enjoying them as my bride challenges me to a game of bar top curling. And I know that the pint glass is from a different brewery. A true beer, not that IPA crap but I digress. After a high of 58 down to 38 with an occasional flurry.

The pub is my favorite place. The great adirondack unfortunately closed last year suddenly. That spot had great beer and amazing steak. But if the pub ever closes im starting a gofundme to buy it.

Let me put it this way.  This winter was cold but not historically so.  Historically, it was close to an average winter even if it was technically below our currently 30 year normals which are increasingly warmer every time they update.  It was cold bc we actually had a real winter this year.  We will very likely never have a top ten cold winter again as long as any of us are alive.  It was nice to see we can still have actual winter temps sustained through most of winter.  I'm really not understanding the confusion or annoyance some seem to have by these facts.

Agreed, unless its some freak event thats probably killing tens of thousands of ppl somewhere on earth.

Down to 13 overnight, don’t think this was forecasted (I saw like 20-22). Good radiative conditions?

Yeah wind kinda subsided for a few hours, at least up here.

Unfortunately, those are probably underdone, and without any precip moving through the area, looks like mild and dry

Yeah. I said that. However, the models dont show anything remotely close to the 50s. Will it be warmer than shown? 99% likely. So why exaggerate what the models show?

I doubt it. The models show 40s and 50s to start March, and average temps only increase from there. Doesn't look like any signs of sustained cold coming our way, which we would probably need for some marginal snowfall

Post the modeled temps for next weekend.
