People freaking out over models showing blocking in mid-November is insane. New England may even see rain from these threats. We have had great patterns in June, but it doesnt mean it will snow.
I dont take any threat seriously until after December 1. Yes, i know we have gotten snow in October and November a few times in the past thirty years, but those are the exception and not the rule. If the models look the same in 2 weeks i will get more intrigued, as of now its fantasy.
If there was something else to talk about id agree with you (and it would mean less angry texts from rjay lol)...but man its boring af right now...

Nevermind that you’re measuring on a damn grill LOL. I planning on making a new snowboard this week, gonna borrow a couple ideas I’ve seen in the NE thread over the years.
Post the ideas when you build it, i need a new one.

If it gets below 25 like some models are showing I get nervous. Luckily its been warm lately so the ground will keep things above freezing, other than any exposed pipes and maybe the heads themselves
Can you rent one?

There's less daylight no matter how people want to spin it. I once heard it said, though I don't recall where or who said it, but daylight savings time is like cutting an inch off of the top of the blanket and sewing it to the bottom, the blanket remains the same size regardless.
I just want the euro to come out at 1 am instead of 2, is that too much to ask?

My tomato plants are still green, they don;t look so great but are still alive as are the marigolds.
Yeah my tomatos are hanging on. I let the basil bloom a few days before the cold nights, that helped kill it anyway. The mint is still going strong. Parsley has pooped the bed lol

Maybe. I did hit 31 a couple weeks ago but it wasn't a hard freeze, it didn't stay below freezing long enough.
Closest i got was 34 but it managed to kill some of my potted plants and herbs.

I can't find my handheld anemometer. Now I'll have to stand out in the driving rain just for the heck of it
Just judge it by how bendy the trees are. My little maple has said its gusting to 78.
Shrug. Its not an exact science.

Has rooting for any particular outcome ever affected the actual outcome? Please advise.
It worked for me in 4th grade when i forgot my homework. Rooted for the teacher to forget to collect it. Bent down to pray to the spaghetti monster and i knocked her coffee over. She was too distracted to get everyones homework.

I don't mind it being warm in November, my ideal temps are 60s.
We're easily setting up for the latest freeze on record though.
Even in banter this is ridiculous.
