1.43 rain here. Does this mean your gonna put up a late rally, and come from behind for the win on mowing?

I'm sure we will have warmer weather sometime before it gets colder. We have not had the ladybug invasion yet that occurs every fall.

We need your input on totals.

Last night NWS backed down on the rain totals for tomorrow to Sunday. This morning they raised them back up to 1.00-1.50

Well I was enjoying it. But I was in my barn painting. So I only have limited time to paint as it will get too cold to paint soon. Today or tomorrow I will be mowing and taking care of leaves that fell again.

42 here was surprised it wasn't colder.

35 this morning with car topping frost and a touch of patchy frost on the grass. Brr!

43 was the low overnight. Definitely feels like fall out there not ready for this.

Will we have a Garbage can, and shingle alert issued?

I'll take this morning low, soon in a few months we'll be talking about lows in the teens or single digits.

My wife's brother in law works for the Amish at a strip mine in Treverton. There were several times he went to the dr. and presented his insurance card and was denied. Here the Amish weren't paying the insurance that was being taken out of his paycheck. And also a few months ago the payroll check bounced at the bank. My wifes brother in law keeps going back to work for these Amish, and we keep telling him he's a fool for doing it. I don't get it. Yes the Amish are into everything, but they need the English to make a living. Don't get me wrong there are some good amish out there. But alot will take you over.

You can invite the amish to live in the burg. They are moving up here in droves. Buying a lot of properties, farms, mountain land. They are everywhere. And it's not a good thing either. These are not your amish of the 1970s.

Bring on the heat, if its avaliable. But days are too short to enjoy it. By the time it warms up it cools down.

Maybe just enough to keep you in contention of that elusive lawn mowing trophy!

Having a thunderstorm now with heavy rain .14 rain from the thunderstorm.

The last number of years I have 2 areas they each take about 15 min to mow with the garden tractor that just seem to grow more then the rest of the areas that I mow. And if I don't cut them till spring the grass is wooly, high and looks like crap.

I'll be mowing and using the mower to move leaves to at least late November or until mother nature rids the trees of leaves.

So you might mount a comeback to sneak your way in to the semi-finals for the most mows. This is not over yet.
