    This November reminds me of classic Novembers of yore. Chilly and wet on the coast. Snow showing up for the interior and picnic tables. The step down transition month.

    We all do it. Especially for the first flakes.

    The weenie sneak peek. We all know not to look directly at the light source. You need to obstruct the direct light and look where it’s illuminating to see if weenie flakes are flying. These weenie flakes are nearly imperceptible to the non-weenie. Not us though. We see all.

    Nahh…it’s not all about the frozen water. We could sure use normal cold to kill back some of the ticks and other invasive insects that persisted through most of last winter.

    A solid 4-8” all snow event is going to feel like a KU to me this season. I’m tired of the changeovers slop fests.

    I saw a 72 and sun at day 10. That’s worthy of a trip to the beach for some. Esp in late Oct.

    More than half of my snowfall last year fell in 2 hours while I was out of town in late January. By the time I got back, most of it had melted. I remember the one day we had subzero temps. The next day was warm in the sun at 50F. What an abortion of a winter last season was.

    Coming in from the SE will likely have different impacts than a slingshot TS flung in from due south. It’s also not moving too quickly, so water will pile up and be pushed toward the coast. This could be a mess.

    My parents are up in Rockport. They can take it on the chin too. Long Beach’s sea wall looks like it will crumble on a sunny day at this point.
