  1. Yea same here, no hail though.. Some thunder and lightning..
  2. Their is a perception that bumble bees don't sting, which is half right lol In general, bumblebees are peaceful insects and will only sting when they feel cornered or when their hive is disturbed. When a bumblebee stings, it injects a venom into its victim. Only female bumblebees (queens and workers) have a sting; male bumblebees (drones) do not.
  3. This is almost unimaginable.. Millionaires ruining their lives...They drove off in Lamborghini and BMW lol Not like they needed the money.. Warrants have been issued for the arrests of New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar by the Miramar, Florida police department stemming from an incident that occurred Wednesday, May 13. Baker has been charged with four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm while Dunbar has been charged with four counts of armed robbery. Per the police report, Baker took money and watches from the victims and with force and was armed with a semi-automatic firearm. Dunbar was assisting Baker in taking the money and valuables from the attendees at a party in Miramar, Broward County. The pair were allegedly hanging at a cookout when an argument ensued, resulting in Baker revealing a semi-automatic firearm. Baker allegedly Baker directed a third member, wearing a red mask, to shoot a person who entered the party -- but the gun was not fired. Both Baker and Dunbar are believed to have taken over three timepieces -- including an $18,000 Rolex watch and a Hublot worth $25,000. Baker and Dunbar also took over $7,000 in cash. Two affiants did not see Dunbar with a firearm but one said the opposite.
  4. Sorry to hear that Dave Hopefully an eventual vaccine can get the elderly back to normal living.. I went to the convenience store last night and probably half the people weren't wearing mask, big change from previous times going..I guess it's a false sense of security..I myself as well as my GF continue to wear masks and will do so as long as we see fit... Her job is only taking back one of the 4 people laid off on a part time basis (as of now),they will also be continuing to enforce social distancing, wearing mask and limit the amount of people inside at one time..
  5. Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms may produce moderate to heavy rain Friday afternoon. There is the potential for a prolonged period of significant rain Sunday through Monday night when several inches of rain could be experienced.
  6. Florida's Ron DeSantis became the second governor to announce that his state is open to professional sports teams that want to resume activity amid the coronavirus pandemic. "All professional sports are welcome here for practicing and for playing," DeSantis said at a news conference Wednesday in Tallahassee. "What I would tell commissioners of leagues is, if you have a team in an area where they just won't let them operate, we'll find a place for you here in the state of Florida." On Tuesday, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced that professional sports, including MLB, the NBA, the NHL and the NFL, may resume in the state -- without fans -- on Saturday, as long as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines are followed. Last month, Florida's DeSantis had deemed sports "essential services," allowing WWE and UFC events to take place in the state without fans. The Tiger Woods-Peyton Manning vs. Phil Mickelson-Tom Brady golf match will be in Hobe Sound on May 24, also without fans. DeSantis launched a phase 1 plan to reopen the state on Monday for all counties not including Miami-Dade and Broward. Those two counties will open this coming Monday. The Miami Heat reopened their facility Wednesday for players to undergo voluntary, individual workouts. No more than four players can participate at a time. DeSantis specifically mentioned baseball, soccer and basketball in his remarks Wednesday. "Our people are starved to have some of this back in our lives," he said. "I think we can certainly do it in a way that's safe."
  7. Among the other vital points included in the proposal: An expansion of playoff teams from 10 to 14; An 82-game season; The use of home stadiums in areas that have local and state governmental approval; A so-called spring training 2.0 that begins in June with a season set for early July; A universal designated hitter; Geographical schedules, in which teams play only in-division opponents and interleague opponents in a similar area (i.e. American League Central teams play only AL Central and National League Central teams); A 30-man roster with a taxi squad that would have upward of 50 players available. The playoff expansion, which had been floated before the coronavirus pandemic hit, would increase revenue as it shrivels in other areas. Teams estimate that upward of 40% of revenue comes from ticket sales and other gate-related income. The season could start on Fourth of July weekend with games around the country in home stadiums. The intradivision-heavy schedule would be to limit travel -- with teams possibly traveling by bus to nearby cities. Spring training likely would not include any games, as teams could get ready for the season at their home stadiums. The 50 players available would be a mixture of major leaguers and top minor league players, with the minor league season in jeopardy.
  8. Payrolls fell by 20.5 million last month, leaving 23 million unemployed, the Labor Department said Friday. Another 6.6 million Americans left the workforce altogether, meaning they were neither employed nor looking for work. The nation's unemployment rate more than tripled, soaring to 14.7% from 4.4% in March — the highest since the Great Depression.
