I’ll take it.
Same here. It's more bullish than the sref which drops 2.5 here. The 6z rgem was a general 2-4. Hopefully that bumps up on the 12z run.

lol I've got three months still to go. The price for my vigorous weed lawn.
Yikes! My problem is constant maintenance on my 1/4 mile long steep gravel driveway.

Doing my annual labor day weekend final mowing of the season today. Feels great to finally put up the mower.

Is they're any way to eradicate fire ants from your yard? I have that Ortho stuff that kills the mounds that pop up, but the huge, elaborate colony underground still remains. Is there reliable method for killing them off other than moving?
We don't have fire ants here, but termidor is the best product for ants period. You can buy it online at doityourselfpestcontrol. Com

I'll be watching from my backyard.

Looking over the models and the vortex lasting past mid month is this likely an early end to the melt season?

Digging out the lawn mower today, never thought I would be doing this in mid February. I don't think I can remember a winter quite this bad. My daughter in New Hampshire had 24 inches in a blizzard 2 days ago and now it has been snowing all day again thru Monday with another 2 feet possible, we can't even get an inch to show up on a fantasy map. Terrible.
There is not any grass growing! Asheville is at their seasonal average for snow at this point in the season. I can think of 2 other winters off the top of my head that were worse than this winter in the last 10 years.

Not giving up yet, but the writing is on the wall (or has been since January). Really amazing how many days I didn't have to run the heat. Usually in January and February it constantly stays on; this year half the days it was off. Maybe we can pull a cool spring and not turn on AC until late May.
You should move to the mtns. Don't turn ours on until may
