Gorgeous visuals.

^ Thanks. The inversion broke down this afternoon and gave me something other than 100% stratus. Looking southwest when I got out to the pond. Please forgive the truck on the left side of the image but it is interstate I-65 and is kind of a busy road and not so easy to get images without vehicles... The breeze made it rather uncomfortable sitting right on the ater so I went back to the car to warm up. A ragged piece of the inversion drifted into a good area of the sky and I stepped out of the car and took this... The post sunset color as nothing special but better than nothing...

Was out for another sunrise this morning. Beginning of the color on the horizon with the 100mm... Max extent of the color with the 16-35mm. Please excuse the focus. Operator error, this is more about the color anyway...

Color was not quite as vivid this evening as was this morning, but the nice day out I did put some more images on the memory card. The white looking northwest... The yellow looking north northwest... The orange/red looking north...

Finally, another break in the Lake effect inversion around here. Got to try a sunrise from the backyard just a couple of minutes ago. Looking southeast with the security light and trees... A wired sunrise looking south...

Almost been two weeks since the last atmosphere image. I needed to get an updated booster in the memory card. Pond as iced over so I did not have to mess with reflection stuff. Looking southwest when I got to the pond... Looking to the northwest. I like how the color goes orange from the building to the blue in the sky... Post sunset color... A quick lens change to the 100mm to get the stuff on the horizon...

^ thanks Today I took a little afternoon nap. Did not mean to sleep so much but when I woke up the inversion had lifted out from the southeast. Did not have time to make it to the pond so I just walked to the corner to get as much sky as possible...

First time out at the pond in the new year. Had some nice conditions this evening. Started off with a vivid sundog on the south side of the Sun when I got out to the pond... Close to local sunset. You can see just how far south the Sun is of those trees to the right which is close to due west... I kept an eye out to the east and it is a good thing I did. The pinks went all out in that direction... The west went to mega red for the post sunset, glorious ending... As usual, thanks for all the views in the 2019 thread and I will be deleting those to make room for this year's crop as I go along.

The sine wave with the roofing material of that bike/bus stop awning at the very beginning was amazing from a physics/ math point of view.

Nice eye candy. Is that your footage before the head-banging started, or is it stock footage from someone else?

Pay more attention to birds.
