The Aleutian ridge NW of Hawaii keeps popping up driving a trough into the Western US and a ridge near our area.

and that's a result of tropical forcing shifts related to climate change

Think of it like a ski area is just irrigating their trails like a golf course or millions of American yards all summer.  Ski areas just do their irrigation when it’s cold, ha.

Although one could easily argue against watering grass too.

get rid of lawns and golf courses too, duh

I know you're trolling because that's what you do..but relying on natural snow only means about a 6-8 week season and only in far NNE resorts based on climo, which makes skiing anywhere in the east unprofitable and non-existent.   So a ridiculous comment..

but nice call on the 80 last week.

find a recreational activity that doesn't require making fake snow every week

81 here now. Hit 83 earlier. It even feels a little muggy with the dewpoint at 60. Feels more like late August than late October. I hope everyone is enjoying this last day of summer! Quite a change coming ... Wednesday we might be stuck in the 40s.

awesome I was wondering how long it would be before the 95 record from October 2 a few years ago would be broken

not saying we will fully mix out but +16 850s are exceptional for late october. that would actually translate to mid 90s in the warmer spots in july
