There are a couple of rotating supercells coming off the Gulf of Mexico that are spawning quick spin-up tornadic waterspouts and tornadoes. Until 5:15PM CST there is a Tornado Warning for the southeastern portion of Mobile County from one of these supercells coming off the Gulf. It appears to have had a history of tornadic waterspouts from the prior Special Marine Advisories and Warnings mentioning a sighted waterspout.
-
Mobile County, Alabama and southeastern Mississippi counties near Hattiesburg and Laurel have already several reports of radar observed or confirmed tornadoes with these isolated supercells coming off the Gulf or remnant energy from yesterday's severe storms across Southeast Texas and Louisiana. This is the beginning rounds of possibly several waves of severe thunderstorms ongoing now through tonight and likely until Sunday
-
Since nobody else hasn't started a thread on this potential event across the Gulf States, Mid-South, and western portion of the Southeast started today through early Sunday.
