Around 20 of the euro ensembles buries i70 and north, a few are thread the needle and some are significantly north.
Are any significantly south?

Is there any way we can end up with just a cold rain ?

00z euro bumped north, but has some interesting results that remind me of some of the local craziness of the Dec'04 winter storm. For instance, per the euro, northern Franklin County gets 16" of snow, southern Franklin County gets 6" plus some sort of frozen slop. Delaware on north getting close to the 20" mark...Fayette, Fairfield, south probably a massive icestorm. Of course it's one of many runs and bumps to come, but still an interesting snapshot.
Probably won't know confidently until thursday 00z where this is likely to go and whether it's likely rain, ice, snow, or the combo platter.
Would it also be a massive icestorm from Dayton to Indy?

Quite a temperature spread this morning. 24 in Findlay, OH and 2 in Defiance, OH.

TWC has me at 16 and snow next Sat night, so unless there's like a 20 degree jump in temps I'm confident it will snow here instead of rain on Sat night.

One thing I loved about this storm is that it wasn't bitterly cold.

My only complaint about this storm would be that I didn't see insane rates. I would love to see what it's like to get 1-2" or more per hour.
-
This is probably one of my top 3 favorite storms ever. The fact that it hasnt been that cold has also made it more enjoyable.

How does everyone measure snow ? I measured about 6" on the car top but most areas in the yard around 7.

I measured in many places and its between 6 and 7 inches.

Pretty good gap in radar returns in southern IN
Was this gap forecasted, or did it totally come out of nowhere ?

So our WWA just went from 3 to 5 inches to 3- 6 inches.. yes not a huge difference but it is a slight upward tick..keep it coming!!
You would think 6 inches would require a Warning !

The near 4 year warning drought for Dayton is over!!!
Hopefully we can both get 6 inches out of this. I have only experienced three 6 inch storms in my life ! Whatever snow we get, it will seem like a ton compared to what we've had so far this winter.

Nice dude, wishing you luck. I'm about 75 miles NE of our boy Chambana. Hoping to make a run at 6 inches. Moved out this way in June. This will be the first system that looks to cover the lawn completely. Happy this is going down on the weekend!
Thanks. Same to you. I'm trying to stay cautious and aiming for 4 inches. Good luck to you as well.

Winter Storm Warning for my area. 4-7 inches.

Good example of how the "northwest trend" effects cutters or as I call it, the back building bias hurting Ohio. The inverted trough will be further west in peak intensity. Not like we didn't know that earlier, but Ohio is going to get hurt. Probably 3-5 max over southwest ohio, 1-3 over the rest. Good luck to snowlover, he is in the best spot.
I'm not so sure about a 3-5 max in SW OH. I am 3 miles from the OH border and a lot of the models are showing around 6 here. West Central OH is under a Winter Storm Warning for 4 to 7 inches.
Winter Storm? Jan 18-19th, 2019
