  1. Now the Democrats need to win the 2 Senate runoff elections in Georgia. With Kamala Harris now casting the tie breaking vote in the Senate it would give Democrats control of both chambers.
  2. I believe they are expected to break for Biden. Either way Trump is running out of time to make up close to a 30K deficit.
  3. An official in Penn’s election board told MSNBC’s Chris Jansing that based on the number of ballots they’re counting per hour and the percentage that Biden’s winning he should take the lead between 4 and 5 in the morning.
  4. Biden’s lead is down to 46K in Arizona. Trumps lead is only 2,500 in Georgia.
  5. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him run in 2024. His taxes will probably still be under audit, lol. Wonder which Attorney General or DA will be the first to go after him if he loses this year.
  6. What do you guys think Trump will do when Biden goes over 270?
  7. I was thinking more along the lines of what Mayor Daley of Chicago did to get JFK elected.
  8. Good thing we didn’t have the internet in 1960. There would have been all kinds of conspiracy theories around John Kennedy.
  9. Barrett recused herself in the Pennsylvania case. https://www.msnbc.com/mtp-daily/watch/justice-barrett-recuses-herself-from-pennsylvania-voting-case-94873157561 To me the decisions in these cases would be good news for Democrats. If the courts are allowing states to accept ballots after Tuesday then they should allow counting after 11/3. There’s been talk that if Trump is winning on Tuesday night he might declare victory and throw it to the courts to disallow any mail in ballots that haven’t been counted. This has to be a defeat for him.
  10. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/13/coronavirus-first-case-of-covid-19-reinfection-confirmed-in-the-us.html?__source=facebook|main&fbclid=IwAR1J5Q-8qnypio31mem4oitloBzKpOePPqErzcu9BZ04J1AWua2vxJ_7V3U
  11. So let’s use the 0.8% mortality rate. The population of the US is around 330,000,000. To achieve herd immunity a minimum of 60% (probably more like 70%) of the population needs to be infected. That’s around 200 million people. If 0.8% of those die that’s 1.6 million deaths. Insanity! You really think that’s acceptable? Edit:. This is really directed at Luke_Mages who thinks herd immunity is the answer.
  12. Can you please provide your data that support a 0.26% mortality rate? Right now there have been roughly 216,000 deaths out of 8 million cases. That is a mortality rate of 2.7%.
  13. How close is it to the nuke plant? My niece is a real estate agent and she’s been selling houses like crazy in one day above list price.
  14. Cuomo just announced that any colleges that play sports this fall will do so without fans in the stands. https://www.syracuse.com/coronavirus/2020/07/no-fans-allowed-for-college-sports-in-ny-this-fall-cuomo-says.html

  16. I think Cuomo said it’s too early to make a decision on the fair.
  17. Cuomo just opened horse race tracks, without fans, and Watkins Glen Speedway, without fans, for the summer.
  18. The Onondaga County executive said we’re ready to open.
  19. The point is that the more people carrying the virus the greater the chance it can find it’s way to the vulnerable population. Which brings me to your second point. It’s fallacious to compare the chance of dying in a car accident or a shooting to dying from Covid-19. Dying in a car accident is a random singular act. It happens and it’s over. No one else in a car behind you is going to die. If you walk around with the carona virus and you will infect at least one or two other people who in turn will infect one or two others until it spreads through the population eventually finding a vulnerable individual. If we can stop that by preventing the first individual from being infected we can save lives.
  20. I would like to know at what age does the value of life start to decline? You contradict yourself, first you say if they’re over 70 they’re going to die anyways then you say your 86 year old grandmother means the world to you and you’re doing everything you can to protect her. So I guess if you don’t know someone their life if disposable so you can resume your normal lifestyle? Remember, people over 70 are someone’s grandmother, grandfather, mother, father, sister or brother and mean the same to those people as your grandmother means to you. I know you’re young and feel bulletproof and chomping at the bit to resume the activities you enjoy. But we can’t just drop all of the mitigation measures that have at least kept this virus manageable without expecting a jump in infections, hospitalizations and deaths. And just a reminder, there are people in your demographic that have gotten seriously ill from Covid-19.
