  1. Korean beef bowls with pickled veg and Kimchi.
  2. Well after another rough morning my Dr put in for me to get a CT scan. Just got confirmed a 3mm stone in my bladder that I am going to have to pass. On meds to help with the movement. Looks like my weekend is going to be not fun.
  3. This cold is just plain rude today!
  4. New recipe tonight. Chili Lime Chicken with Chorizo rice.
  5. Thanks to all who responded to this. As of now confirmed a raging UTI and on antibiotics. If it does not clear after on drugs will get a scan. One horse pill in out of two for today and am starting to feel a bit better.
  6. Yea I am a needle phobe also. Goes back to being held down to get stitches in my lip. I use Lamaze breathing and turn my head away. Also ask to not tell me they are going to jab me and just do it.
  7. I may or may not be passing a Kidney stone this morning. Seriously worse pain that childbirth, and have done that twice. This is possibly my 3rd stone over the years. Going into Dr with a possible UTI but this pain is really making me lean towards a stone.
  8. Have to make another trip over to VA this morning. I took the ponies sheet home to get it washed because I thought we were done with below freezing temps. If she was still a hairy beast I would not bother but shedding season has been wild this year and she has her summer coat already.
  9. Nice that you get that choice. I did not choose to get cancer at 41, but I did and will forever be susceptible to illnesses such as COVID. I was one of those who never got the Flu shot either out of being lazy. But with the loss of 7 Lymph nodes my bodies "natural" system no longer works the way it once did. I hope you are never in a situation like mine or others. And thank you for a least wearing a mask.
  10. Second Moderna shot in the arm this morning. So relived!! That much closer to getting back into everyday life.
  11. Sent you some resources for appts. Also @wxtrix is right about the Hagerstown site. They I believe have walk ins everyday 10-2. FCC now is a mass vax site will have to look into that one about walk ins though.
  12. GF Santa Fe Chicken skillet with GF corn bread. Both new recipes that were a big hit.
  13. Yea you should be able to do herbs. Certain ones like Rosemary like to be drier anyways. Mint which I have in the bottom is basically a "weed" the way it grows. And Oregano does very well. Basil can be picky with water but it usually bounces back after getting a hit of water. I do what I use a lot of. Basil, Rosemary, Oregano and mint. Might do tarragon this year also. And there is a group of plants out there that love sun and are drought tolerant. The front of my house bakes in the morning sun so I get a lot of the drought tolerant ones.
  14. They will be at Mad Science in Adamstown tomorrow. AKA Thanksgiving Farms on Rt. 85. Noon -4.
  15. Ok so the local farm where we have our CSA and get all our plants at also has a micro brewery on site. Anyways they bring in food trucks on Saturday and Sunday's. Tomorrow they are having a new truck called Pop-Up-Poutine We may just have to venture down there. I love Poutine as does the older Miss J.
  16. Wanted to do my herbs different this year. I usually do all containers. Found this three tiered stand made of cedar. The top two boxes can tip out 45 deg for sun. Also started some green onions in an egg carton. Also the oldest Miss J went with me and we took the old herb box and made a fairy garden. Complete with a Gnome named Gerald who sells shrooms
  17. Yea this site is great! With kids you can only get them the Pfizer. So being able to filter out for just that specific one was great. It does not cover the Mass Sites only pharmacies, but even though I knew someone who knew about the shots at M&T I may have to use this for when the younger Miss J's age range is eligible. I like it that there are people out there who want to make it easier on everyone during a still stressful time.
  18. I think it is. Mr J found it at our favorite local Co-op we are members at. The Common Market.
  19. I tried my first ever GF pizza dough over the weekend. This recipe is a more thick dough, going to try a thin crust recipe next time. Everyone actually ate it and said it was good. I used King Arthur 1:1 GF AP flour with Xantum Gum. And the recipe did call for yeast so I still got that yummy flavor. Going to add garlic and Rosemary to the dough for more flavor next time.
  20. If you want just call the 800 number. They schedule appts right over the phone. That is how I got my daughters shot at M&T. I got Moderna (1st dose), Mr. J got J&J and older Miss J got Pfizer (1st dose). We all just had a sore arm at the sight of injection. But I have heard of people having the whole arm react. Called COVID arm apparently. To put it in perspective I had a sore arm with the FLU shot this year. I can only ever get shots or blood work in my right arm, due to removal of Lymph nodes from the left side. So my right arm takes the brunt of any needle. But I did not notice any worse soreness. My muscle apparently was trying to push the needle out. All the working out has my biceps woke up. And no bleeding at all did not even need a band aid. Mr. J still has a bruise from his J&J shot. But he even gets that sometimes when he gives blood.
  21. Seeing a bit of sun out over here. Still very damp and cool though.
  22. Beautiful shots! We have had a new hotel for a few years. Has really cut down on them. The deck has pressure treated wood on the structure, which is supposed to not be preferred by them. But they don’t seem to care. I hate trapping them as they are pollinators but it was getting out of hand.
  23. Had a request for shrimp and cheese grits. Mrs J’s Southern kitchen is open.
  24. Just got back from getting the older Miss J jabbed at M&T. She joked that she now has boarding clearance to see her Alien race she was spawned from. M&T was hopping today also. Think they got a back up as had to wait in a line but it moved on through. Got inside and as Miss J is a minor got priority move up through check in. I swear we witnessed over 2000 people in just the hour and a half we were there go through the line. Did not mind that it took longer as it was so nice to see so many people getting it. Extremely efficient well run gig going on there.
